Re: [HELP] Vpn OpenSwan IPsec

Are you having problems to reach machines inside you lan or only outside your lan? If only outside your lan, then my guess would be that your router is not NATing the packets originating from your vpn connected device and forward them with their private ip, thus preventing the destination server fro...

Re: [HELP] Vpn OpenSwan IPsec

Sorry for the bad link (missing right parenthesis). Here is the good one: http://wiki.strongswan.org/projects/strongswan/wiki/IOS_(Apple) This only covers the strongswan configuration. Just to make it clear, you first need to add the missing kernel modules. you can follow one of the numerous guides ...

Re: [HELP] Vpn OpenSwan IPsec

This error was coming from missing kernel modules. I added the folowing ones and got is working: http://wiki.strongswan.org/projects/strongswan/wiki/KernelModules I also switched from openswan to strongswan which seems to have a better kernel 3.x support. I am not using L2TP/PPP anymore, but a "pure...

Re: [HELP] Vpn OpenSwan IPsec

Hi drazik64, I got the exact same pb with openswan on my raspbian. Could you find a solution for this? This is actually the first time I'm trying this installation and the connection fails at the same stage: ERROR: netlink response for Add SA xxxxxxxxxxx included errno 93: Protocol not supported FYI...

Re: Torrent server

What kinds of speeds are you getting then? Just saying "full speed" doesn't really give a point of comparison for the rest of us :) My download speed is not relevant. I was just one of those in this topic facing the frezze issue and the new official raspbian did solve it (and it looks like I am not...

Re: Torrent server

I just ripped the new official raspbian and performed my usual test (which used to make the pi freeze in 5mn). No fatal freeze anymore. However the pi iwas still freezing but only for a few seconds and then was back to life. This was due to the "smsc95xx 1-1.1:1.0: eth0: kevent 2 may have been dropp...

Re: Torrent server

I agree with you juanmol. A friend of mine has a pi from the first batch. He never experienced this freeze issue when bittorrenting. I got mine from the second batch and am facing the problem. Could this issue be related to different hardware revisions of the pi (especially the ram chip) as describ...

Re: Instructions for building XBMC for Raspbian

I didn't do accurate benchmarking but I can say it is much smoother than openelec xbmc, especially when navigating through the menus. xbmc on raspbian: cpu usage around 85%, openelec xbmc: cpu 100%. This is really a great stuff! Thanks obsys for the good work and mike for putting together the instru...

Re: Torrent server

I tried another sd card... same issue. I cannot believe we are only 1 or 2 people facing this... For me, reproducing the issue is as easy as: - write a brand new image to the sd - apt-get install transmission-daemon transmission-remote-cli - start downloading a torrent - wait for 2 to 5mn All the PS...

Re: Torrent server

As suggested by fernan13malaga I tried the Raspbian from here: http://www.linuxsystems.it/2012/06/raspbian-wheezy-armhf-raspberry-pi-minimal-image/ still the same issue. The workaround for the kernel bug the author (darkbasic) is talking about is actually "only" the vm.min_free_kbytes parameter from...

Re: Torrent server

I think the USB drivers are flaky right now. Does your pi freeze also on heavy disk I/O, not torrent-related ? Unable to reproduce the issue doing something else than downloading torrent. I tried to run simulataneously: - dd if=/dev/zero of=~/bigfile - axel -n50 http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/...

Re: Torrent server

Hi, I'm sorry in advance, my post is not gonna help much. I am facing the exact same problem. Pi works beautifully (can be up for several days without pb), but freezes after ~5mn of torrent download. I'm on an up-to-date raspbian with rpi-updated kernel and firmware. I'm downloading to the SD card d...
