Re: Backup Raspberry PI 3

vote for 'rpiclone' for easiest if you are running raspbian or live system that you reluctant to stop it just for backup

but if you can, shutdown the system, umount the card and 'dd' it somewhere else external =)

You're using CUPS as the end interface for your printer right ?

There are tons tutorial setting up Samba/CUPS on raspbian system out there. Will try to post some if I have enough time to browse my past history on it.

Re: Missing something - Kodi issues

Seems like you're missing some kodi dependency related libraries. have you check 'dmesg' or check system log ? If you only want install kodi or turn your pi to a media box, just grab a fresh ISO copy of LibreElec or OpenElec ( or get it from NOOBS is probably the easiest way to do so ) I've got my f...

Re: About this (weird) humidity graph

Hi @stijn.ghesquiere, the logger unit is placed near centre of the room from the AC Yes I've been looking for ways to measure the electricity consumption as well. see if there are similar on/off pattern as well. However, it seems there are other factors come into play that effects the humidity level...

Re: About this (weird) humidity graph

Do I also detect a small oscillation of the temperature that is in synch with the humidity oscillation? Are you sure the AC unit isn't switching on and off in a similar cycle? What period of time does a complete up/down humidity cycle have? Can you relate that to anything that may be happening exte...

Re: About this (weird) humidity graph

Hi all, I'm happy this post got some more response than I thought it would The logger logs all day long, but the AC usually turns on from 10pm - 6am the next day, so about 8hrs running The 'abnormal' room is bigger than the other room. It's about 6x6m, while other room maybe around 4x3m The 'abnorma...

Re: About this (weird) humidity graph

@Jednorozec : same result, I know you are suggesting there may inconsistency issue if one pi reading is actually faulty but it's not. If I swap the pi, the pi in the 'abnormal' room will still display these spikes reading. And I did check using hygrometer, that it sometimes could go high and drastic...

OSError: Cannot detect RPi-Sense FB device

Hi all, I run into problem that one day one of my unit pi3 running on jessie shows this error "OSError: Cannot detect RPi-Sense FB device" Traceback (most recent call last): File "humidity2.py", line 8, in <module> sense = SenseHat() File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/sense_hat/sense_hat.py", li...

Hi all, I just want to add that I too experience this apache2 anomaly on jessie and on pi3 I have at least 2 pi3 running jessie that was installed using jessie-lite ROM downloaded from the official source, and has noticed same anomaly At first I thought it could be a bad SD Card error and have reflu...

Re: phpmyadmin forbidden access error

I think your options are either you can sudo apt-get update and upgrade and see what happens

If that doesnt work too, you'd probably want to reinstall ( or better still purge the installation first and then after reinstall )

Re: Astro Pi Temperature Sensor Reading

Hi alphanumeric, I have a small digital clock that has a hygro function in it. I put it aside pi/senseHat and compare their output. That's how I get my pi/senseHat reading for humidity is about 10% higher Apart from that in the room we have an Air purifier that also measures room humidity. The readi...

Re: Astro Pi Temperature Sensor Reading

Hi all, this would be my first post here although I have been playing/working my system around the little great device like pi itself ! Weighing issue on temp/humidity accuracy using SenseHat, I do notice this inaccuracy reading too when I went about writing my own chart/monitoring python script. My...
