Pi 3 No HDMI output

Hi Guys, I hooked up my Pi 3 to a Samsung B2230 LCD monitor via an HDMI to VGA converter cable. The L.E.D's on the Pi seems to be working fine (RED on and GREEN intermittently). Pi3 car battery source

Hi,

I have 2 Pi 3 B's that I can only power from car batteries (remote location). I have not hooked them up yet ... just wanted to know if it would be safe to bring the voltage down from 13.8v to 5v without damaging the Pi's?

Thank you

Danny
