Re: GLESv2 shader bug?

Thank you, I was only on 1st september, had to install and run rpi-update to get it updated and it was the same bug. So thats great. Sorry I thought a fresh install and aptitude upgrade would be enough to catch up. So my next question would be, what is the schedule like on this fix arriving without ...

Re: GLESv2 shader bug?

Hi, I'm having a similar crash, two textures in a shader causing a GPU hang and if I remove the second texture lookup then it doesn't hang. I think I'm up to date with firmware and everything but thats probably the first thing I should check, What version numbers should I be looking for to make sure...

GLES2 optimisation?

Hiya, Are there any suggestions for GL actions that are good or bad in terms of PI performance? Not general stuff but anything specific to the PI? I'm just poking around with my code in an attempt to see where all the time goes and at the moment it seems that pushing any sort of data across to GL se...

Re: Lua on the Raspberry Pi

Lua 5.1.5 is already on the beta Debian Wheezy image (June 18). This isn't a build of lua, its a bundle of lua libs, some of which are written by me. Essentially I've added raspi to the list of platforms I'm building a low level lua game framework for, hence the focus on opengl. Right now I figure t...

Re: Lua on the Raspberry Pi

I've got my batch of lua libs building and running with the raspi as a target recently so figure it might be of interest here. Run the code below on a raspi prompt (works before or after startx) to download and run a little lua gles demo. See if you can guess which old machine I used to know inside ...

Re: How is cross compiler formed?

Well I tried but I think I'm going to give up on wrangling arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc to link itself with another crt / libs No amount of messing with its spec files or options seems to be able to convince it to find/link with another bunch of libs. So I guess its got some hard coded paths somewhere el...

How is cross compiler formed?

Hiya, I was hoping it might be simple enough to just install the gnueabihf cross compiler in ubuntu and use arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc -march=armv6zk -mfpu=vfp -mfloat-abi=hard -marm -mcpu=arm1176jzf-s -mtune=arm1176jzf-s helloworld.c This works, except where it crashes instantly when run under raspbia...
