not permitted to use the families computer in case she breaks it... The "family computer" What year is it? 1997? I've got more computers than I know what to do with. They are on an extremely tight budget, don't mock it until you are there yourself. It was a while ago since I made that comment...

Don't forget air :)

I'm keeping my old(ish) laptop for gaming/x86 software and as a spare. Other than that I'd be happy to use my Pi's exclusively.

Been running my Pi 4b/4 from a sandisk ultra a1 128 Gb card from day one (before that one of my 3b+'s made use of it).

No issues at all.

To get one in that condition would be very unlucky, to get 2 ???

IMHO, Something was tampered with between leaving the manufacturer and reaching the customer.

That would be a question to ask ADA Fruit. It certainly does not qualify as a "Raspberry pi question".

Ada fruits website has a couple of links if you're interested in looking there.

I wasn't satisfied with the point #6,
TBH, I wasn't satisfied with any of the points, perhaps you should go back to a windows system (and even then many users would know how to do/google what you describe).

The point of your post is (considering we're using buster now)?

Thanks, it is concerning but for me not an issue.

For others who are worried stick with the official power supply.

There is the resistor issue that makes the Pi4 not work with many USB-PD chargers apparently.
Link please?

FWIW a charger IS NOT a power supply unit.

I see, so that's how you managed to get more power on the board and maintain the same price - the new RPi4 doesn´t include troll food! Nice trick! ;)

Link looks dodgy to me unn-admissions-list-merit I'll leave for the mods to decide, in the mean time my personal advice, don't click on it.

EDIT: OK after further looking the link appears safe enough, (I still have some reservations) and apologies to the OP for raising suspicion.

That's slow for the PiHut - its normally the next day!
To be fair it was highlighted on the ordering page that delivery may be delayed due to excessive demand.

I normally receive delivery next day but in this case was prepared to wait a week or so, I extra day meh.

Perhaps you would but I'm sure others who (like myself) bought the Official 7" touch screen would probably disagree.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Nothing to do with sudo in this case though certainly not advised unless required.

Read the latter part of rpdom's post, you did not specify the location of your script when using chmod.
