Thanks for the response. Is there anyway for you to measure what the current draw is when you are using the camera? Very curious to see, especially with limited amps of POE. It may not matter.

Any thoughts from others is extremely welcome.

Well, the proof is in the pudding! Shortened down the cable hugely, to only be about 10cm in total, soldered back up, powered on and hey presto - now seeing a steady 5.01V occasionally dipping down to 4.98 or so. vcgencmd get_throttled is showing 0x0. Hey Ed, That is pretty impressive! Would you care to share how much power the pi is pulling? Any issues with it at all?
