Re: Is py-spidev still broken?

The issue was due having bits_per_word set to 16 and not 8 :? 16 works with pigpio but causes this error with both python 2 & 3 Traceback (most recent call last): File "AD9833_GUI.py", line 256, in <module> AD9833_SPI = AD9833_Board() File "/home/pi/RPi_AD9833/AD9833_Board.py", line 95, in __init__ ...

Re: Is py-spidev still broken?

Well there is an option to build both github versions for python 3 and I have tried both of the them with the same results.

Where is the Python 2.7 limitation documented?

Is py-spidev still broken?

Hi, I have developed a python 3 app to control an AD9833 board using pigpio to interface spi but would like to see what speed improvement if any there is using py-spidev. I have done the same as and get the same results as described here https://github.com/doceme/py-spidev/issues/36 but my app just ...

Re: USB FIQ testing....

I have never seen anything like this level of detail in a spec sheet for a hub, do you have a list of the "best" hubs? Here is an example of a 7-port hub that actually specifies it has multiple TTs. At $30 it is certainly not the cheapest available, but maybe you get what you pay for. http://www.am...

First off, great work on the usb driver, for me it is generally very stable but a few questions: - I have a hama 7 port hub lsusb gives this [email protected] ~ $ lsusb Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9512 Standard Microsystems Corp. SOLVED Re: undefined reference to i2c functions

Thanks for the reply. I followed the instructions and have installed i2c-tools libi2c-dev and python-smbus. I can see the chip and successfully drive it from the command line with the following: - [email protected] ~ $ i2cset -y 0 0x20 0x00 0x00 [email protected] ~ $ i2cset -y 0 0x20 0x01 0x00 [email protected]...

undefined reference to i2c functions

Hi, I am trying out the Ada I2c interface http://sourceforge.net/projects/raspi-i2c-ada/ and have downloaded and built the library. However, when I try and build the example test program I get the following ld errors: - gprbuild test.gpr gcc-4.6 t.o -o t /home/pi/raspi-i2c-ada-code/lib-static//libi2...

Re: blue about Bluetooth

These USB issues are a real nuisance :( I am using a supported 10 port USB hub (3.5A supply) with separate 800mA supply for the Pi and I cannot get either a USB bluetooth adaptor or a USB wifi adaptor (Netgear WN111v2) to work from boot if the USB keyboard is connected during the boot. Neither will ...

Re: Error with bluetooth / bluez

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. It would be nice if this was in the next Debian/Wheezy image because it appears to be non trivial to get bluetooth/bluez working without it. Keep up the good work guys :)

Re: Error with bluetooth / bluez

Hi

How do I upgrade /usr/lib/libcap-ng to libcap-ng0_0.6.6-1+rpi1 ?

I tried googling it but only found the link to this site...

Thanks

Re: Xmanager to Pi

Hi

This works for me: -

From an xterm on your windows machine (Cygwin with a xserver running in my case)
ssh -Y 10.0.0.9 -l pi

Now logged into Rpi
startlxde

Starts the window manager for the Rpi over your Windows desktop.

That's it
