Are you sure it's an NO pushbutton? Have you checked with a multimeter? yes i'am sure. check this one https://www.google.fr/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FTaiss-Momentary-Pushbutton-Switches-Warranty%2Fdp%2FB07GPGMWSW&psig=AOvVaw3wnEcFckEa2q4lJoD9brvE&ust=1596058231832000&a...

Re: Low Voltage on GPIO Output Pin

Sounds like the internal pull-up isn't being enabled on that pin. I do recall there were some issues with the underlying libraries when the Pi 4B came out. You don't say what Pi you have but it may be worth making sure you have the latest RPi.GPIO library. You can try with what you have by connecti...

Re: Low Voltage on GPIO Output Pin

Sorry but I haven't worked with it since decades ago because I'm much smarter now and avoid strange operating systems like vi whenever possible (lol). It does work with all half dozen or so editors I use regularly with Pi (leafpad, mousepad, nano, etc) and the 30 or so other programs. I've yet to e...

i connect 2 wires to GND and GPIO16.

Can you describe, perhaps by reference to a commonly used diagram such as https://pinout.xyz/, which 2 pins on the 40-way header on your RPi board you are connecting to?
2 wires, pin9(ground) and pin36(BCM16).
