Re: ASUS USB-AC56 (RTL8812AU/RTL8821AU) Driver compile fails

Sorry, but I only have drivers compiled for kernels 4.0, 4.1, 4.4 and 4.9. MrEngman my bad...it was too hot today here :P the kernel I am applying the patch / compiling is 4.9  (the 4.11 was from a previous test) I have a script that will automatically select the driver for the kernel version...

I just try to compile the driver for kernel 4.11.6-v7+ and...failed

Do you have updated driver dear MrEngman :?:

PS : I use this kernel because an other dongle, em28xx-Hauppauge-DualHD TV tuner, need a kernel patch that works on this kernel version only (from what I understand)

2 same DVB dongles on USB HUB : one is working, not the othe

hi, I have trouble getting 2 of my DVB-T dongles (Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick) to work together on my USB Hub AFTER A REBOOT. They work perfectly one by one on the HUB but not both at the same time, in this case only one is working, the driver of the second failed to load  All other DVB dongles u...

Re: ASUS USB-AC56 (RTL8812AU/RTL8821AU) Driver compile fails

I am not sure I did install the new driver : I just used "sudo install-wifi", but it appears that the command install driver even if you already have the same version. Anyway, sadly no change regarding disconections :( but maybe a litle bit more regular throughput. It looks like the connection reset...

Dear MrEngman, as you maybe remember I use your driver on my RTL8812 based dongle since I own it. Sadly the dongle shows some random deconnections even if on latest kernels it is a litle bit better than 2 or 3 month ago. I have tried using different settings on my routers/AP where I have a...

Many thanks for this thread ejolson ! I am building a small wifi radio and I was first after clean shutdown and power up push button. MPV player : control volume and playlist using GPIO inputs?

Hello, I would like to control MPV player ( https://mpv.io/ ) using rotary encoders. I "only" need one control for the volume, and one for parsing a playlist from line to line to switch from a stream to an other. For now I am able to use my keyboard to input this commands, but I realy dont know if M...

Re: Any hardware mod on PI Zero W to reduce power?

I did gain some more mA by powering it @3.3V instead of 5V but can I go further by switching the voltage regulator by an other type? Or maybe does this mod only for older PIs? That was only for early model RPis which used linear voltage regulators. Now they are switching types. Well. Thanks a lot, ...

Any hardware mod on PI Zero W to reduce power?

Hi, I was wondering if there was any hardware mod to do on the PI Zero W to reduce power consumption. I have seen a lot of comments over the net talking about removing the voltage regulator for something more efficient. Of course I have already slim down everything that was possible in software : un...

yes I use your script since I own the dongle ;) but I have always got this disconnect issue. I did not updated this PI3 since one or 2 month, and only update today, so maybe some changes is older than latest kernel/driver, I dont know. The thing is that I am now contemplating my router wifi interfac...

Can all things done on Arduino be done instead on a PI3 ?

Sorry if this question sounds stupid to some :? but when I see a youtube video for example demonstrating something done on an Arduino, can it allways been done also on a Raspberry?

Or may Arduino has specific hardware?

Thanks

You know why this thread show up frequently in search result? Because the problem still hasn't been fixed! I don't have this problem with gpsd under other distros. I'm pretty sure the default permissions on /var/run/gpsd.sock are wrong for one thing. That's why all the how-tos on the web suggest yo...
