Re: List of wireless devices?

mahjongg, You didn't come across grumpy. Your answer explination really helped. I had to use ndiswrapper on my laptop. It has a Broadcom 43XX chipset. I just used the Windows driver and the wrapper, and it worked. I know you pointed out that it was x86, but it never dawned on me what you were trying...

Re: How to get Midori out of full screen mode?

Chris, how did you know to press F-11?
The help file was useless and I could not find a list of commands on the web. I tried pressing the F keys but gave up at F-8.

Re: List of wireless devices?

Yes, I know this now.
I was hoping that because ndiswrapper-common, ndiswrapper-dkms, and ndiswrapper-source are in the repositories, that it would be just a matter of time before an ARM version of ndiswrapper-utils was added.

List of wireless devices?

Is there a list of USB wireless "dongles" that Squeeze supports?
I bought a Netgear WNA3100 thinking I could use ndiswrapper. The Netgear isn supported ndiswrapper isn't supported in squeeze.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How to get Midori out of full screen mode?

I found a fix. Not sure if it's the correct way, but I found a fix. 1: Press crtl-alt-del to bring up the task manager. 2: Kill Midori. 3: Get to the command prompt (if in X, logout). 4: Get to /home/%USER/.config/midori 5: Use nano (or your favorite editor) to edit config. 6: In the line, "last-win...

How to get Midori out of full screen mode?

I pressed the full screen option in Midori and I cannot get it out of full screen mode.
Anyone know how to do that?
I can't even exit or minimize Midori. :x I feel like the kid who licked the frozen pole. I'm stuck here!

Re: How to I set the time and date?

Penguintutor and SirLagz: thank you for the command. That worked. I really thought /etc/timezone would have been the place to do this, but I guess not.

Jim Jkla: I'm not using wheezy. I'm using debian "squeeze".

How to I set the time and date?

All, I feel really stupid asking a basic question, but I can't seem to set the time and date. As I understand it, the pi has no realt time clock (RTC). Hence, there should be no /dev/rtc and the hwclock command should do nothing. Is this correct? I am in the US. I edited /etc/timezone to America/New...

Re: Getting TRENDnet TEW-424UB 3.0R working under Debian

I do not believe ndiswrapper is supported in debian on the pi. :(
I was able to use apt-get and get ndiswrapper-common, and ndiswrapper-dkms, but not ndiswrapper-utils.
I'm trying to use a Netgear WNA3100 (with a Broadcom BCM43231 chipset). No luck. :(

Re: RPI not mounting USB Drive

SirLagz, Your suggestion worked. Thank you for your help. I'm used to Ubuntu "just doing it" for you and automatically mounting it in /media. I found that when I started LXDE, the flashdrive automatically appeared. I was able to copy the files from the drive. BTW: the files I was trying to by wre th...

RPI not mounting USB Drive

Hello all. My name is Shawn and I'm a noob. :| I inserted a thumbdrive in to the USB port and I can't seem to mount it. I did a 'lsusb' and it's listed on Bus 001 Device 008 If I type 'mount', the drive is not listed. There is nothing listed in /media. I made a folder in /media called 'usbdrive.' I ...
