Re: BLE connection with an android

Namaste Douglas6, When running the cputemp.py, the Service and Characteristic are discovered by the nRF Connect mobile App as ' Unknown Service ' and ' Unknown Characteristic '. Kindly guide me how and where to set these values in the Python code. As an example, for cputemp.py, they could be Service...

Re: HDMI display on LG LED Monitor 20M38H-B

Namaste All, It will be 3 years since I posted this query. Just though of sharing the final outcome. The culprit was the faulty cable. I used a branded cable instead of the locally procured cable and, display works just fine. Thank you everyone who assisted me on the issue. Ultimately, the lessons l...

Re: BLE connection with an android

Namaste Douglas6, I too am grateful to you for this simple yet powerful application for BLE communication. Over the last week, I was only going crazy figuring out, how and where to begin for the Python based BLE development on Pi 0 W board. Happy to inform that I can exchange strings between my Pi 0...

Namaste All, The test results for various combinations keeping the "hdmi_safe=1" setting commented in the config.txt file, is enclosed for your reference. Still struggling to view the output on my HDMI display (LG LED Monitor 20M38H-B). Nevertheless, I'm happy to share that I was able to crack the c...

Re: HDMI display on LG LED Monitor 20M38H-B

Start by putting a # (to make it a comment) in front of every line (yes, all of them) in /boot/config.txt. Most users find that most Raspberries work with most TVs/monitors without the need for any overrides. Then work through systematically adding a parm, trying a reboot to see the effect then cho...

Re: HDMI display on LG LED Monitor 20M38H-B

I'd remove or comment out all video parameters from config.txt and then get the output of the following commands tvservice -s tvservice -m CEA tvservice -m DMT This may aid diagnosis of the situation. Thank you rpdom for your thoughts. That brings me to the next query for accessing the RPi 0 W modu...

Re: HDMI display on LG LED Monitor 20M38H-B

Doesn't having hdmi_safe=1 negate all your other settings? hdmi_safe Use "safe mode" settings to try to boot with maximum hdmi compatibility. This is the same as the combination of: hdmi_force_hotplug=1, hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080, config_hdmi_boost=4, hdmi_group=2, hdmi_mode=4, disable_overscan=0...
