Custom naming sound cards?

So I've been trying to work this out for a while now.

Does anyone know how I can rename a sound card that is created using a ALSA loopback?

The docs didn't make sense to me.

pulseaudio no sound?

I am trying to pass sound through PulseAudio. I can see chromium in the Playback tab of the volume controls and it indicated that it is playing audio. However, no sound is coming out of the Pulseaudio server output. My goal is to get the sound from chromium as the input for a Mumble client. I had th...

Re: AP works Tor Active, but showing my ip

Made some progress.

Discovered that running

Code: Select all

sudo iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i wlan0 -p tcp --syn -j REDIRECT --to-ports 9040
after each reboot gets it working.

Any ideas why this isn't running automatically even though it is configured in my iptable?

AP works Tor Active, but showing my ip

I followed the instructions at https://learn.adafruit.com/onion-pi/install-tor for setting up an AP and Tor. The AP works fine and Tor says it is running. However, it still shows my ip address on ipchicken.com.

Any tips?

Cheers!

Thanks! So the outlook is good. :)

Did you happen to see a list of supported/unsupported extensions? I'm particularly interested in finding out if it will be able to run the Web Speech API. If it does then this just majorly enhanced my project.

PIXEL + Pi Zero = Chromium on Pi Zero?

I know that previously chromium did not work on the Pi Zero. Is this still the case or does it now work with the latest Raspbian build?

Thanks, I'll give that a go. I've never configured a br0 interface before. :) hadn't stumbled upon it yet with my google searching.

My end goal is to capture wifi and then rebroadcast is via a new Wifi access point and the eathernet port.

Re: Force Quit Kiosk on Touch Screen

Stumbled upon a solution. Turns out if you tap on the touch screen right on the edge of where the menu bar would be the menu bar appears and you can access the main menu to shut down. This will work until I create a switch.

I would like to route the connection from wlan1 to wlan0 and eth0. I would rather use wlan0 to wlan1 and eth0 but haven't worked out the drivers for my Netgear3100m USB. I have successfully followed guides for wlan1 to wlan0 and wlan1 to eth0 but am unable to get both to work at the same time. These...

Okay so I installed SpeakIt from the. Heinous store and the demo worked for one or two test and then stopped.

And thoughts as to why that might be?

Also, does anyone know of any walk through for configuring speech-dispatcher?

I did a fresh install with The latest build and it did have Chromium on it. I read in another article that the speech synthesis is disabled by default. ResponsiveVoice has a fallback mode. It is initiated when there is no system voice. It may also be run under other instances but I don't know what they might be. Auto Clear RAM

i am using my pi to extend my WiFi by outputting the WiFi thought the Ethernet port to another router.

Everything works well until the RAM fills up and I have to reboot the Pi.

Is there a way I can set the RAM to auto clear when it reaches a certain point?

Cheers,

Echo
