Debian Buster was released so it changed to stable.

Run "sudo apt update --allow-releaseinfo-change" and it'll update it.
Thank You

Re: Servo control using PWM

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Sorry for the long delay in response, I was out travelling so couldn't work for some time. Finally I got back with the project today and fixed it myself. The solution for me was to Create the Servo class Object only when the user clicks the start button, then I can ...

Servo control using PWM

Hi, I have a servo motor connected to my Raspberry Pi 2 and use PWM to control it. It works fine using the below code: import RPi.GPIO as GPIO import time GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BCM) GPIO.setup(21, GPIO.OUT) p = GPIO.PWM(21, 50) p.start(7.5) try: while True: p.ChangeDutyCycle(7.5) # turn towards 90 degre...

Re: Kodi won't recognize controller

With only that information is difficult to check your problem, but you will need Kodi 17 for xbox 360 controllers to work. RetroPie's Kodi support that. PS: Don't know how you installed Kodi 17 on Raspbian, but if you didn't through RetroPie, you may need to install te binary addon for joystick sup...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ turn usb power off

Hi there. After reading this thread and experimenting myself it looks like there is really no possibility to turn off the power on the Pi USB ports. Does anyone know though an USB hub available in UK right now that can be controlled via the mentioned programs? I googled the ones mentioned but canno...

Re: Flask app deployment issue on Apache 2.4

Have you created a wsgi file? What does it contain? I'm guessing that the config you've posted is just an example rather than the real config that you expect to work. Are you following the guidance posted on this page? http://flask.pocoo.org/docs/0.12/deploying/mod_wsgi/ Yes, I have created the WSG...

Flask app deployment issue on Apache 2.4

Hi, I have developed a Flask web app which I am now trying to host on Apache using the mod_wsgi documentation. I created a appName.wsgi file in the /var/www/MyApp directory. Then for configuring Apache I created a config file in the /etc/apache2/site-available/myApp.config with the below config <Vir...

Re: Powering H Bridge L298N with RPI

ok... So any suggestions what I could use as a power source for the L298N with 4 DC motors?
I am looking for a reusable power source, that can be recharged and how much power is required ideally.

Re: Powering H Bridge L298N with RPI

Stall 2.8Amps total. Is it a 2.1amp output powerbank? Better off with 6xAA NiMH cells, but you might get away with it on a flat surface. Maybe PWM the drivers so you give them a slow start, instead of full power. Don't try powering the Pi from the same power bank as voltage will probably drop when ...

Re: Powering H Bridge L298N with RPI

Do the motors stall currents total less than 2.1Amp? Without motor specs who can tell? But toy robot motors, especially low voltage ones may have over 1Amp stall current each. L298 can provide 4 amps, if you use four of them that 16Amps. I suspect the answer will be NO, not unless you paid $60+ for...

Actually i did find a Linux client for hikvision, called iVMS 4200. But sadly it is not compiled for arm so does not work on Raspbian. :(

I am also building a robot car with 4 DC motors.
I have an extra Power Bank, 10,000 mA, can i use that to supply power to the L298H bridge instead of using 4AA batteries.

Issue running 2 WebCams on Raspberry Pi 2

Hi, I have a Raspberry Pi 2 with OSMC running. I had a Logitech C350 Webcam which was running fine using Motion for video recording and streaming. Recently I bought a second webcam same model and plugged it to the Pi, I ocnfigured Motion to use 2 threads for running both the cams, but whne I started...

Re: osmc pygame not using audio jack

Thanks, that helped. I found the solution.... It was pretty simple, as that thread mentioned that ALSA modules are included in the kernel, just the util was not installed. So I just installed teh Also Utils and now I can use the amixer to set the audio out just as in Raspbian. 8-) :geek:

Re: osmc pygame not using audio jack

It's probably worth asking this on the OSMC forum. When you it doesn't work, what do you mean? Is there an error message, or just no change in the audio output? One post on the osmc forum suggests a slightly different command to the one on the rapsberry pi page: https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/command-...

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, but that doesn't work for osmc. The amixer command line thing works on Raspbian, but not on OSMC. I just need a similar solution for OSMC.

Hi, I am facing a little issue while playing Audio with Pygame in my Python program. Hardware: Raspberry Pi 2 Mod B OS: OSMC I need the audio to be played from the Audio/Headphone jack. In order to that in OSMC I have made a shell script that does changes the standard audio output from HDMI to Audio...
