Re: Can someone please help me (with fixing my script)

OK so have a read of this https://github.com/raspberrypilearning/physical-computing-guide/blob/master/pull_up_down.md it explains why you need to have a pull up or pull down, it also explains how to do it using external resistors and how to do it in code. depending on your set-up you may find doing...

Hi.

Please edit your post with code and add code tags so that you preserve the indentation that the code relies on.

With regards you problem, as you have no pull down active in you software

im not sure how to add that in

Hello I'm using a flow switch to read if my pool pump is on / off. It's reading gpio input 16 with 3.3v. when water is flowing it reads fine . When pump is off I get a continuous loop of "flowing / not flowing" the script allows for any chatter ("noise") meaning 80% water must be flowing to get a po...

You're booted off a USB device.
Yes that particular pi boots from a flash drive (SD card slot is broken) ... I do have 2 other Pi's ... Are you saying to do it from a pi that boots from SD card?

Doing what you describe will that fix the broken SD card and I will have everything back ?

Re: Error with Stretch os

From what I've read if I understand correctly... It updated on it's own and the update created this error What makes you think that? Raspbian does not auto-update. Looks like your SD card is corrupted, though. Can it be fixed or do I have to loose all the work I've done... I'd rather not have to do...

Looks like networking is not up and runnning

Try changing your Cron line to this.

Code: Select all

 @reboot sleep 30 && python3 /home/pi/flow-switch.py >> /home/pi/log.txt 2>&1
to add 30 second delay to the start of your program.
YUP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That fixed it

THANK YOU SO MUCH
