Re: B+HAT EEPROM

But an "Emulated" EEPROM is still an EEPROM. I fail to comprehend how they can specify it has to be an actual EEPROM chip. There is no justification to this. What's inside a discrete EEPROM is not known, it could be a 8051 with a block of Flash. Who knows, and who cares. So in that case, is that an ...

7" Display/HDMI and Accelerated 3D Drivers

Hi, I have a PI3 with a 7" Touchscreen, and I also use a HDMI monitor. I wrote a scripts (adapted from other sources) which checks if HDMI is plugged in, and if it is, AND the 7" LCD is enabled, disables it and reboots. And does the opposite when the HDMI is unplugged. Re: RenPY on PI3

Problem solved, Ren'Py is fully usable on a Raspberry PI 3, and i suspect it would also work on a PI 2 as well, but i don't have one to test. Ren'Py uses OpenGL to render to the screen, by default Raspbian uses software OpenGL in X, which is super slow, and causes all the slowdowns in Ren'Py, enabli...

RenPY on PI3

Hi All, I managed to successfully build and run Ren'Py (A Visual Novel engine/dev system) on the Raspberry PI 3. Its quite slow (and i'm not sure why) but otherwise seems mostly fine. The only trick is you need ffmpeg NOT libav which raspbian ships with by default. I installed ffmpeg from the debian...

Re: Trouble installing ffmpeg on raspbian

An easier way to get ffmpeg instead of libav is to use: https://deb-multimedia.org/ Just add: deb http://www.deb-multimedia.org jessie main non-free to: /etc/apt/sources.list Then: sudo apt-get update (ignore warning about missing key) sudo apt-get install deb-multimedia-keyring (press y when prompt...

Re: RB Pi 3 fail to load SPI1

Can anyone confirm this is still a problem on 4.4.13-v7+?? I can not replicate it with raspbian lite upgraded to latest kernel.
