Lego sells a USB controller for their motors. Scratch will come up wiith the control options if it is plugged in. It is in the WeGo product line.

If you don't already have it you might look at "Robot Builder's Bonanza" by Gordon McComb. It has quite a lot about how to control DC motors. It has step by step procedures for modifying RC servos to work with PWM. I have begun to experiment with this using ServoBlaster on the RPI. It works very nic...

Mine is en route. I did not get a tracking number. UPS has an option to track without it. Put in your zip code, country, and PO number. Mine will be here by the end of the day Wednesday.

I get to "My Account", "Order History", then click on the PO number. There is a seperate store for the United States. I don't know is it shows different information on US PO's.

You can still do it. Just use Gparted to expand the partition. MagPI issue 2 has the instructions for resizing partitions with Gparted.

They are now giving me an expected ship date of September 29. For new orders it gives "further stock expected to ship October 7".

If you are using the command line type:

sudo shutdown -h now

unplug after it says the system is halted.

I received no e-mail after the order. I just came home to find it on the kitchen counter. I recognized RS's all over the envelope. My dinner guests didn't understand my excitment about Raspberry PI when we served cake. I wasn't much of a host last evening. It worked straight out of the box.
