Hello. Was just wondering if it would be possible to do the exact opposite, as in using the pi to give wifi access to my android phone via usb tethering. If it is possible how would I do it? Thanks for any info.

Ok. I just kept doing the ginstall-ytdl command in the terminal untill it finally worked LOL. Now, I do have a ytdl folder in my home/pi directory. You've definitely got a serious network problem, possibly related to https connections. Try browsing a website with https (e. g. github.com) I currently use my raspberry for all web browsing, including using the forum, and I browsed github for a bit to see if there would be a problem. I have downloaded the most up to date version of the kweb web browser, and I replied yes to downloading ytdl when the browser was installing. Ok i used sudo ifconfig wlan0 down then macchanger -r wlan0 and it worked!!!!

ETH0 is the Ethernet (Wired) interface. You want to change the WiFi interface. Ok when i use wlan0 instead of eth0 It still says rtnetlink answers: device or resource busy. Says that even afer i did: sudo ifdown wlan0 What happens if you load in macchanger and try that?: sudo apt-get install maccha...

Ok thanks to both of you for the operating system thing, i edited my post im running raspbian.
So how do I know if i have the wifi drivers with the feature to change it? And if they dont can i get ones that do? Sorry if how i phrase some of this doesnt make sense cuz i dont really know much.

Hello! My wifi network blocks specific devices by (I believe) thier MAC address. How would I go about changing it on my raspberry pi 2 b running rasbian os?
