Re: Netflix on Pi 2

Hi, I´m new to the RPI world (just got my first RPI3 3 days ago!) and I'm quite excited about it, specially since I saw it's possible to run Netflix on it (it was not the main purposeI bought it, but still is quite good news!). That said, after following the very detailed steps from @ruralguru (exc...

Re: Looking at ARCH

Arch is a great distro, and the documentation is outstanding. But it's a rolling release with bleeding edge packaging, so know what you're installing. Read the PKGBUILD's. And the Arch Alarm website has a great walkthrough of how to install. It's not just burning an image, you're rolling your own. ...

Re: RPi 2 and Microsoft All-in-One Media Keyboard

Bumping this as I stil haven't found a solution - just to be clear again, this isn't just a media key problem: although the OS seems to recognise keystrokes in evtest (incl. media keys), keystrokes (media, trackpad and normal 104-keys) do not produce any corresponding actions anywhere else (i.e. I ...

Re: Looking at ARCH

I am playing around with arch on my PineA64; similar in most respects to the Raspberry PI 3B, but with more memory on a larger foot-print (index card sized). Yes, arch is manual; which is good, because it will force you to learn gnu+linux. For instance to get wifi going you will need to manually co...

Sorry for the long time getting back to you. I am fairly new to the pi and as such have been being distracted by so many things. Every time I turn around there is something I don't like and I can fix so I go ahead and figure it out. Then there seem to have been some great strides made in getting Net...

Re: Netflix on Pi 2

Interesting. Might be worth trying with "framebuffer_depth=32" in config.txt which may improve performance. Can you get Chromium 50 (or later) to work? I looked into the framebuffer_depth it seems to add to the color depth rather than making the video buffer deeper. wouldnt this cause the rendering...

Didn't work for me (did the huge download and extract above) - maybe because I'm still on v50 ? Hi, your command on the viewer site is wrong - desktop is not at 0! The command line parameter ':0' (in x11vnc -usepw -display :0) refers to the actual visible desktop. It has Port '5900'. in case you want to use x11vnc with virtual desktops you can simply increment the number. I.e. ':1' on Port '5...

The rundown: I am working on getting the K830 fully functioning on my pi(raspian lxde). I am not happy about the dongle but it works and it works well. Re: Netflix on Pi 2

It works on Raspian & RPi3, however the frame rate is a disaster. I haven't tweaked the Raspbian GPU memory settings though. I got chromium. Working on "qemu-nbd" I gt the following error: E: Unable to locate package qemu-nbd Is there a workaround for this. Google searches arn't getting me anywhere.
