Network Manager WICD

On my quest to get internet to my Pi I am trying to use WiFi and the network manager (which was described as lightweight) WICD, but after I install it (Sudo Aptitude Install WICD) and go on my GUI I find that I am using 100% of my CPU, I would just think that the Pi could not handle the software but...

Re: Wireless Keyboard issues

Well I have gone out and bought a wired keyboard which now works fine, if anyone else is having problems with a wireless Microsoft Mouse 1000 and a wireless keyboard 800 it may be compatability issues.

Re: Internet via ethernet into Mac

I am using the Debain sqeeze OS and I would like to do the exact same thing but a Win7 computer, so if you could help with either OS it would be appreciated.

My setup is My Pi wired through Ethernet to my Win7 computer which is connected to my router through a wireless dongle.

Re: Powering through Powermonkey?

Thanks, I was planning on trying to set up some sort of wireless camera on a network, not sure how but hopefully I should not need the GUI for that.

Powering through Powermonkey?

Well, as I haven't got my Pi yet  I can only plan what I am going to use it for, I have a few ideas that include using it wirelessly, I have seen a few things saying that you can use AA batteries as power so I was wondering would a Powermonkey provide the correct/sustained voltage? For referen...

Re: Farnell Shipping

You will get an email about a month before telling you the week you pi should get shipped and then you will get a dispatch when you're pi has been dispatched. I think you have quite a long wait. I ordered mine in the 3rd of march and only just got it. I also ordered my Pi on March 3rd but haven't h...

Anyone still waiting after registering interest on release?

I am from the UK.
I registered an interest at around 11AM on the day of release, ordered around 3-4 weeks ago and have received no news since.

Is anyone else in the same boat as me? Or have I just fallen through the cracks somewhere...

Re: People who PRE-ordered after 1 May...

I think it may be a while, I expressed an interest at around 11AM on release day, invited to order around 3 weeks ago. No news since, I have a feeling they have a lot to deal with and the back log will be rather large.
