GDAL is also giving me an issue:

I have a tiny usb sound adapter here. Once plugged in dmesg shows it as detected but the Pi comes to a crawl. I feel it's causing an interrupt issue. I will try another to be sure.

I'm loving the Packet Radio Device = Like text messaging to Hams.

Too funny. I am one of them and I am going to use this as my APRS transceiver in my car using Xastir under Arch. I will feed the video to my radio's screen.

Xastir APRS with Arch.

I just wanted to see if anyone else has interest in this? I am almost done with getting the software all ironed out. It looks like everything will work just fine but be warned you're looking at 2 days of compiling unless you do it on another machine. I will be using AX.25, soundmodem and the latest ...

Audio Line in?

It there an audio in anywhere? (I have soldering skills if needed)

My project requires a line in and I will use a USB adaper if needed but I'd rather not if the Pi has a line in somewhere.
