With raspian, just open the browser is a pain in the ass... you will not able to do what I'am doig right now. Also my wifi connection is way better, on raspian it g...

Re: USB power supply with 3+ ports, 1A+ each?

Output: 1-4 x USB, 5 VDC, 2.0A Max I think its more 500ma per port Don't waste your money on that thing, I buy on ebay a 7 ports 2Amp USB hub for 6$ including the shipping. It will only do 500 ma per port but for the price... I should receive the hub next week, i will able to comment more on that wh...

Re: 3 Screen Display Extention

Since your post, i checked on ebay and found some similar device for 35$ with shipping working with usb 2 or 3. I will buy one to try it for sure for my mac and pi. The only issue i can see with this kind of device is the power consumption, its like they are using 500 ma, this is to much for the PI,...

Re: OpenGL frame rate 15fps?

np, i dont know the julia shader, so I dont know what this shader do :) one thing that can really drop the fps is to draw texture in blend mode (transparent on) if your texture does not really have alpha value that make some region transparent, disable the blend operation, this will allow for a high...

Re: OpenGL frame rate 15fps?

They are something wrong in that shader, the i is no longer used or never been used, i dont know the original shader, but i is always = 0 this mean color2 = vec4(0,float(i)*0.0625,0,1); is always color2 = vec4(0, 0, 0, 1)... but its like no color, so you can remove it you can simplify this by using ...

Re: Embedded operating system

Thanks for your input mikerr, But embedded dev's like me and a small number of others, can not use anywhere near the full power of the GPU, it just will not be available to us. Thats why linux seem so slow, i would say we are looking at 800*600 32bpp, of 40FPS if we are lucky. unless the GUI is mad...

Re: The most expensive R-Pi of the world!

All this problem is due to the incompetence from farnell, newark, i mean, they are UK based and they have prob never sell that much on other country, now that you can only buy RSPI on UK, its impossible to get a fair shipping, the 5$/8$ shipping will never work, they should charge a little more to in...
