Re: Certbot (LETSENCRYPT) -

Quite a loss of time there, fault of remaining backported packages : after struggling at "de-backport" my system (for others that do the same mistake : dpkg-query -W | grep ~bpo + apt-cache policy to know what version to downgrade + apt-get install package=version). I then upgraded to realize some p...

[solved]Certbot (LETSENCRYPT) - Illegal instruction

Hey, I couldn't succeed using certbot on raspbian jessie. I tried both installing it (and its dependency) from raspbian testing (deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ testing main) and from debian arm jessie-backports (deb http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ jessie-backports main). All my tr...

Re: Omxplayer

For the record : I changed only one bit in the /boot/config.txt ->gpu_mem=128 Now omxplayer works 24h straight. This is vodoo ! Maybe the default memory allocated was too low ? I did try to add gpu mem when I understood that omxplayer just worked fine from tty and failed eventually in my gui xfce4 s...

[Seem solved]Omxplayer malfunctionning

Hey, I don't get *why* but sometimes "omxplayer" just does not display videos that used to work, displaying just "have a nice day ;)". When it happens, no video plays (even VLC hw compiled) until eventually it works again. I don't get it ;..; One error I could spot is on omxplayer.bin that argues om...

Re: Tutorial: Compile VLC with HW acceleration - Jessie, RPi

I tried a less crude way to install VLC (that would make it easy to uninstall for instance) than using "make install" ; just downloading vlc from jessies source, changing the vlc/debian/rules and adding the flags about omxil I thought were missing. confflags += \ --enable-mmal \ --enable-omxil \ --e...

Re: Web Plugin for omxplayer

Hey, I found that most way to use omxplayer+youtube-dl from a browser is not intuitive enough for old people or beginners to found by themselves. I don't have the skills to give a proper solution (a button as in kweb to call omxplayergui -ytdl %link) ; still it is possible to use a dirty workaround ...

Re: Epiphany

I think I should be more specific about what I did tried : -> wget http://steinerdatenbank.de/software/kweb-1.7.0.tar.gz tar -xzf kweb-1.7.0.tar.gz cd kweb-1.7.0 ./debinstall Then I just did "kweb youtube.com/somevideo" and tried to watch. With epiphany I could see some sparse images (and the 100% c...

Re: Epiphany

I did try that.
The install went fine and omxplayergui works very neathly, but for the video part, I juste get a black box with kweb. Is that expected or is there additionnals steps ?

Epiphany

Hey there, I tried the big image with epiphany preinstalled (you know there is 2 iso of raspbian !). Epiphany worked on youtube. Yay, so then I wanted to do my own environement from a "clean image" (relatively speaking : using the raspbian light iso)... And wasn't able to get epiphany run the same w...
