Hello !
Any plans on a pi4 version of this enclosure ? I like that it also cools the usb and that it has a button.
Yes! We made a case specifically for the Pi 4: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 3&t=262627

Re: Aluminum case for Raspberry Pi 4

Really neat looking, I can only assume that the cost reflects the engineering employed to contain a fierce fresh water fish to stop the users from damaging the sd card. Go Guard Carps.. Aluminum Micro SD Card protection carp to protect the Micro SD from the user; No wonder all my fake sd cards fail...

Aluminum case for Raspberry Pi 4

Hello, After having made a case for the previous Raspberry Pi 3 and 3B+ and following your feedback, we have made a new high-quality, anodized and engraved aluminum case for the latest Raspberry Pi 4, that allow to cool the Pi passively using the enclosure as a heatsink. In addition to the existing ...

Re: Best passive cooling case!

The FLIRC Case is definitely a good one for the Raspberry Pi. One that solve the SD Card removal problem is the Mechatronics Art one, that have an easy access to remove the card. It also cools both the CPU and the USB Chip, and a reset button:

Re: on off switch

Altough this is not a power switch but a power button, this case have a button that you can connect to any pin of the Pi, whether the hard reset pins, or GPIOs like in this tutorial, to shut down smoothly the Pi.

Re: Official Raspberry Pi 3 Case

Although the Raspberry Pi is becoming a standard for the layout of components for Single board computers, it looks like some optimisation can still be done on that side, especially for the GPIO pins, as even the designers of the official raspberry case does not allow those HATS to be used unless you...

Re: Aluminum enclosure for Raspberry Pi

Google translator: This is probably a silly question, but I'm wondering if the reset button in this beautiful case is safe to use? The metal piece you are touching is not directly connected to the reset pins of the Pi, it is pushing on a plastic button, which itself is connected to the reset pin of...

Re: Case that exposes the header for the reset switch

With this case, although the case is closed, you can connect the Reset pin connectors and still use the case. The case have an integrated reset button with the connector and everything. If you want, you can also remove the GPIO Cap of the case, and connect your own reset button. http://www.mechatron...

Re: Aluminum enclosure for Raspberry Pi

Hi, does the SoC and USB chips make full contact with the enclosure heatsink piece or is there a small gap? I would prefer using thermal paste instead of pads for much better thermal conductivity. If there is a gap, how big is it exactly (mm)? I could put a copper plate between the SoC and the heat...

Re: Aluminum enclosure for Raspberry Pi

I was told the FLIRC case, which is made of alu and designed to dissipate cpu heat as well, made for Pi 2 but Pi 3 compatible, does not affect built in wifi coverage. I didn't verify that myself. i have the FLIRC case - it is in use 24/7 for a small print/music server - the case works very well and...

Re: Aluminum enclosure for Raspberry Pi

The idea to use the case as a heat sink is cool. Do you have any experience in how the aluminum case affects the range of Raspberry Pi 3 bluetooth and WiFi on the pcb? We did test the range with the prototypes of the enclosure, with a stock Raspberry Pi hosting its own Wifi network, and another Ras...

Re: Need a case that has the following

We are in the prototyping process and cannot give prices yet. I will let you know as soon as we know it though for sure! We solder a SMD Coaxial connector to connect an external antenna to the Raspberry Pi 3. We are still wondering, if it is better to propose only the case, give the parts, and let p...
