Re: Programmable USB LED Fan?

Hi Everyone, I recently got the exact fan in the photo to try to attempt at hacking it. I thought it was worth a try at $5. Well, First off the USB programming seems all proprietory. Was hoping it to be simple serial. But no, it shows up as a non descript USB input device 1D57:AC01. Also the micro u...

Re: using the RPI as Accesspoint to broadcast UDP

Hi Dougie Thanks for the lead. I got it working following your link...kinda...It works perfectly fine if I have ethernet plugged in prior to boot, then WIFI AP comes up and I can connect to AP and access UDP and internet. But if I boot without ethernet cable, seems like all network is done, even I d...

Re: Powering Pi Zero and WS2812b

I just reread your post and realized that maybe it is your 6A power supply. What append when you power the 4led with 2A power supply? You should be able to power just 4 Led and Pi from 2A using 5v gpio pinout on zero. If it works then not on 6A, then quality of power supply are different. Noisy 6A p...

Re: Powering Pi Zero and WS2812b

Wow. I just had the same exact problem. But I was using a USB mic along with neopixel on zero. I had it prototyped and breadbread everything worked. Then soldered everything and all of the sudden it was doing random flickering on the neopixel. I thought is was also maybe power quality from noisy or ...

using the RPI as Accesspoint to broadcast UDP

previously had an ESP8266 acting as the AP host and a RPI as the client sending UDP packets. I thought that put to much load on the ESP. So I am trying to make the RPI as the AP hotspot also broadcasting UDP packets. I followed this post https://frillip.com/using-your-raspberry-pi-3-as-a-wifi-access...

dealing with http request is new territory for me, so bare with me if my lingo is a bit off. My goal is to use a bunch of ESP8266 modules around the house to control things such as lights and also read inputs such as temp and such. I want to use the RPI that will act as the central server that is ac...

Re: Scanning iBeacons on Raspberry Pi with Python

Faraday, Congrats on this project. I got it working perfectly. However, I do not know how to utilize it without further instruction. I looked elsewhere for examples or similar project. I guess you are a pioneer on this. So I am trying to maybe leave your BeaconAir with RPI at the door step, so when ...

Re: [SOVLED]Simple PHP code working on WAMP but not RPi

Got it, CURL is not installed on the server the initial package for RPI, whereas the WAMP i had did.

to install
sudo apt-get install php5-curl

restart apache
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

that is, now my program is working beautifully on rpi server acting as controller for SONOS.
