Re: A/V question for a build around a Pi Zero 1.3

@rpdom -- I figured... but I wanted to ask, just in case. Note, though that (a) I'm in the USA, and (b) if I'm too cheap to fork over for a Pi Zero W when the older 1.3 model will do as well... ;) @drgeoff + @fruitoftheloom -- Oh that's *perfect*! I even have almost all of those. If a regu...

A/V question for a build around a Pi Zero 1.3

Hello! I'm not new, but I've not posted since (IIRC) the early days of the 1st-gen Pis. A word about me and my situation, first. I'll keep this short, because it's mostly off-topic... the basic gist is that the demands of my budget and life result in phenomenally draconian financial requirements. Mo...

Huh. 'twas indeed just a bad flash. Oh well, that was easy!

EDIT: could a mod close this thread, whatever the forum method is for that?

Not the power supply. Going to re-flash the card and see if that helps.

Re: Pi Zero / WaveShare Display / Won't boot, odd colors

More info. Pi Zero is a 1.3 model. MicroSD card is 32gb Lexar, fresh install of latest Raspbian. I can swap in a 16gb AData card, but I have my doubts about how "alive" it is -- its second flash took four times as long as the first. It's well-used... also, I'm powering the Pi through the GPIO header...

Pi Zero / WaveShare Display / Won't boot, odd colors

Hello all. My mother's Nexus 7 died a few days ago, and I figured, since she basically uses it as an eReader, I could quite easily throw something together to replace it. I put together a RasPi Zero (not a Zero W, mind you), a genuine (there are counterfeiters and knockoff-ers; I actually have a kno...

<r>Woof, the puppy-builder, is here: <URL url="http://bkhome.org/woof/">http://bkhome.org/woof/</URL><br/> <br/> You will need a version of Puppy to run it, of course... I suggest Wary. Latest ver is Wary Puppy 5141, here: <URL url="http://getfr2.no-ip.org/pub/is......1.4.1.htm">http://getfr2.no-ip....

<r>Hey, that's me! Don't worry, I can take the heat <E>:P</E> I'm used to it.<br/> <br/> I'm not a programming type. I'm more hardware than software. Re: Analog Video Capability

<t>Let's see what the (other?) developers have to say about this before we lock it, OK? The R-2R ladder itself would cost ab...

Re: Analog Video Capability

<r>It occurred to me, sometime after the topic I had been posting in was inappropriately locked, that there's a very easy way to get analog video out of Raspberry Pi, but it relies on a feature that I'm not sure is present.<br/> <br/> I don't recall from the diagrams I've seen whether or not the raw...

No worries. If I have to wait, I'll wait, but I do have that faint hope still that I can get my muddy paws on it beforehand ;)

Re: VGA over HDMI?

<r>That's funny, they certainly advertise DVI-D -> VGA adapters <E>;)</E> check google shopping -- the images do show the correct pinout (i.e. a - and no pins instead of a + surrounded by four pins) for a DVI-D connector on one end, and it sure as heck looks like a VGA port on the other end (I don't...
