I can't answer for Dreamcast, but I can say for PSP that emulation tends to vary wildly depending on title, with only a few able to keep up without frameskipping. A few I've tested (Both God of Wars, Final Fantasy II, Guilty Gear XXAC) were so slow as to be unplayable. Conversely, others like Prinny...

So I've got 2 laptops in various states of disrepair: An Eee PC 1000 with a mostly dead onboard SSD (and a few failed attempts at replacing it). So I got it to compile and run on Pi 3 after much mucking about with dependencies. PPSSPP is very touchy about how you built SDL2. To mostly copy-paste my results from the PPSSPP forums: $ sudo apt-get install libudev-dev cmake libsdl1.2-dev You need all of these before you try to build SDL2. libude...

Is the Pi hanging completely? Powering off? Rebooting itself? I had similar issues with PPSSPP until I realized I was getting a load of undervoltage warnings, and switched to a beefier power supply. You can get away with a lot of things with a weak power supply on the Pi, but PSP emulation is not on...
