Re: Some kodi-audiodecoder add-on packages incorrectly linked

Rascas: I investigated this issue today, the problem is that the binary add-on packages are built with the -DUSE_LTO=1 flag to cmake, but then "ar" and "ranlib" from the binutils package are used on the built libraries, and they do not understand the use of LTO. ar and ranlib print "plugin needed to...

Some kodi-audiodecoder add-on packages incorrectly linked

Some of the kodi-audiodecoder-* packages in Raspbian aren't working for me and seem to have linking problems or something missing in the binaries. I've installed kodi-audiodecoder-snesapu, when trying to play .spc files with it, Kodi exits with this error logged: kodi-standalone[1431]: /usr/lib/arm-...

Re: Gert's VGA add-on for the B+

What port on the CM8833-II did you use? Did you use the SCART connector? I have a CM8833 mk1 which only has the SCART connector. I used the DE-9 Analog RGB connector, and connected the R, G, B, HSync, VSync and Ground pins to the corresponding VGA pins. Using SCART won't be quite the same as it onl...

systemd hangs on / fails to reboot

I had this problem on Jessie, upgraded to Stretch in the hope that it'd been fixed, but it hasn't. This started happening after I'd installed some extra packages (NFS client, SSSD, Automounter and Kodi). The problem manifests as a hang on reboot, after printing "Reached target Shutdown." on the cons...

Re: HOWTO: Create Custom HDMI modes

Is there any way to create more than one custom mode with hdmi_timings and then switch between them using "tvservice"? What I actually have is an 15/25kHz arcade monitor connected via the VGA666 adapter, using DPI (not HDMI, but hdmi_timings seems to be the way to set custom video modes for the DPI ...

Re: Gert's VGA add-on for the B+

I was able to use the VGA-666 board to display on a Phillips CM8833-II monitor, which was formerly used with an Amiga 500. The monitor takes RGB and HV-sync signals, and supports horizontal sync frequencies in the range of 15kHz, so it can only display 240p/480i type signals. The only predefined mod...
