Re: USB Wifi

OK, this is not what I'm looking for.

My adapter is being recognized and is working.

I just don't know how to set it up with WPA2 and all of those settings.

Anyone?

Am I missing something?

I don't see any posts about people trying to setup a USB wifi.

Can some one lead me to the right place for this?

Wow what a buzz kill.

I got lucky and my second Pi is on it's way in the mail. This one is for my little boy.
Hope that doesn't happen to us.

I'm in the middle of recompiling and don't know if I will be successful but you will find this post helpful.

Re: iSCSI modules for 3.1.9+?

This is going to make for a great wiki. I use my iSCSI nas all the time and whether or not it be CIFS or iSCSI many people are going to be using some form of it mixed in with cloud computing. It's already happening.

Re: iSCSI modules for 3.1.9+?

OK, under debain I did "sudo apt-get install ncurses5-dev"

That did the trick, compiling now, I'll let you know of my success or failures.

Re: iSCSI modules for 3.1.9+?

Thank you for this post but I can't get past step 1

Package ncurses is not available, but is referred to by another pakage. This may mean ....... I'm sure you know the rest

E: Package 'ncurses' has no installation candidate
E: Unable to locate package ncurses-devel

Thoughts?

Re: Keyboard sticks!

I've run "sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration"

I choose Logitech Ultra-X Cordless Media Desktop Keyboard.

This has seem to help a bit with the unifying receiver.

Re: X drivers using GPU? What's the latest?

Wow, that there is a big ole bummer. I'd help write the driver if I knew how.

So is there a driver coming or are we never going to see one.

I know we all have different level of expertise but developing a GPU driver is a serious effort with some serious background knowledge.

Re: Raspberry pi - is this slow?

I'm not sure if you guys realize yet. We are waiting for the development of the video accelerator driver. The GPU is not being used in X windows so the CPU is doing all the processing for video. As soon as we see a driver for the GPU the performance will change dramatically. Until the GPU is basical...

It's right in the RPI troubleshooting guide. http://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting#R-Pi_does_not_respond_to_key_presses_.2F_Keyboard_randomly_repeats_key_presses Found an external hub that provides max of 500mAh to the port. I'm still convinced not having a GPU driver makes the mouse run a little l...

Keyboard Issue letter repeats

So, I followed the wiki and I purchased a USB hub that says each port can max to 500mAh. That should satisfy the requirements. The mouse works much better and I've never had an issue with the keyboard accept one and it hasn't gone away. Every now and again while I'm typing a letter gets held down an...

Mouse not clicking well

I didn't see anything on the troubleshooting section.

I have to click several times to get something to open in X windows. Some times it's hit or miss.
Some times I can click it and other times it seems like I need to click it just right.

Ideas?

I'm trying to get open iSCSI working. I'm having a tough time the iface is not being recognized as the documentation says. It says that it will automatically detect the driver in the ifaces. So..... I went in and created iface0 and added the hardware address. Unfortunately the driver doesn't show be...

OH, haha, sorry if others have posted it.

This big news is that it was released today but I can't find it.

Why would it not run on the Pi? It's and ARM processor with a broadcom card. It's typical hardware.
