Re: Problems: Turntable -> USB Audio Interface -> Sonos

A little late, but wanted to tune in on this topic. We've released a phono preamplifier which sits on top of our professional grade soundcard. By using this soundcard+phono preamplifier, you can remove a lot of clutter from your setup and have a pro. setup. For example you can remove the USB audio h...

Re: Any recommendations for a pre-amp/preamp

An old thread, however we're releasing a high quality phono preamp with a pro. soundcard included. If you want to use a Pi with a turntable, this may be just what you are after. This is the Kickstarter link : https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/flatmax/audio-injector-pro-sound-card-with-a-phono-ana...

Re: Rpi4 + USB Sound Card + PAM8403 Amplifier - Buzzing/Whine Noise

Speaker will hiss. Their amplifiers still produce noise. If you turn them up full blast the noise will be louder - that is just the way it is ! If you want to solve ground loop problems in the future, you could go for an isolated sound card which has a magnetic barrier between the Pi and the sound c...

Re: Raspberry pi 4 is injecting noise into audio circuit

If the noise is coming from the audio connection between the Pi and the rest of the equipment, then an isolated sound card would solve the problem. We have just release what we think is the first isolated sound card for the Pi. As the sound card is magnetically isolated from the Pi, no ground loops ...

Introducing the Audio Injector Isolated sound card

Hey everyone,

We've finished the first isolated sound card for the Pi :
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fl ... ef=piforum

It gives fantastic sound and removes hum/ground loops. Check out the project and the specs on the kickstarter page.

Re: Constant humming (Ground Loop?) with audio amplifier on Pi2

Hi there,

I know this is an old message, however we have invented a sound card which is isolated. Because it is isolated, it breaks ground loops. You will not hear any hum when using this sound card :

Yes, definitely are L for left, R for right and G for GND. In order to improve contact, we have started the email list. Re: RPi 4 - Using alternate I2C

Hi, If your hardware has different I2C addresses to the Audio Injector sound card (which it should), then you should be able to share the same I2C bus. It would be a nice simplification. If you really want a separate I2C bus over regular GPIO pins, then you can do it (not sure if someone mentioned i...

Re: STICKY: The I2S sound thread.

About the Pi4, I see that both Pi4 and Pi3 have their dts linking back to bcm283x.dtsi. This file defines their i2s hardware. As they have the same i2s hardware definitions, I am assuming the same i2s silicon is ported from the bcm2835 to the bcm2311 chip .... which means status quo for the I2S soft...

your setup is like so : 5v =====> pot =====> ADC input ===> ..................|| ..................|| .................GND What people are saying is that the 5v reference will have analog signal NOISE. This noise is measured by your ADC ... from what you say, your noise is showing in the last 8 to 1...

It is possible to compile buildroot however it appears that overlays aren't working ...
Anyone got pointers on using overlays with buildroot and the Pi3/zero W ?

Checked it out ! They are using very old versions of linux and buildroot.

This worked for me :
BR2_PACKAGE_WPA_SUPPLICANT=y
BR2_PACKAGE_RPI_WIFI_FIRMWARE=y
BR2_PACKAGE_RPI_FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DTB_OVERLAYS=y

with suitable settings for network/interfaces and wpa_supplicant.conf
