Re: Using 17 GPIO output pins with Pi4J

Have you tried looking at this:
http://pi4j.com/apidocs/com/pi4j/wiring ... mmary.html
You can also use Pi4J just as wiringpi wrapper - I needed it for SoftPWM, which has no extra code inside an Pi4J class

Re: make .jar file launch at startup

edit the rc.local
add something like

Code: Select all

cd /path/to/jarFolder/
java -jar JarFile.jar
Should work. But it's not very elegant

Hey, thanks for Bitbanger and your advice howto compile the driver when I try to sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.2.0-3-rpi I get this error E: Unable to locate package linux-headers-3.2.0-3-rpi E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'linux-headers-3.2.0-3-rpi' so if anybody know where i can get...

Re: jdownloder/pyLoad installieren für Dumme

Also pyLoad ist ziemlich einfach zu installieren falls man schonmal Linux benutzt hat. Läuft jDownloader überhaupt wirklich flüssig auf dem Pi? - also Java frisst ja schon viel Ressourcen. Bei pyLoad musst du die einrichtung am besten per SSH machen sudo apt-get install tesseract-ocr tesseract-ocr-e...

Re: Android App to shutdown, reboot, ping

You could setup a http server with php (like nginx with php-fcgi, cause its more leightweight than apache) Then build up a page with php and jqueryMobile I built one for you: <?php switch($_GET['cmd']){ case "shutdown": shell_exec("shutdown -h now"); break; case "reboot": shell_exec("reboot"); break...

Re: RF Bitbanger ported to Raspberry Pi

Sorry - I can't edit my "Tutorial" Post - but here is a much shorter version how to compile rfbb and load the module sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.2.0-3-rpi git clone https://github.com/tandersson/rf-bitbanger.git cd rf-bitbanger/rfbb make KERNELDIR=/lib/modules/3.2.0-3-rpi/build sudo insmod ...

Re: Remote mains switching

Did something similar, but used a bitbanging kernel driver (rfbb) to get more accurate timing. See https://github.com/tandersson/rf-bitbanger for additional details. What decoder chip is used in the Maplin sockets? I guess the Maplin sockets ( http://www.maplin.co.uk/remote-controlled-mains-sockets...

Re: RF Bitbanger ported to Raspberry Pi

About compiling: I'm an long-time Ubuntu *user*, not a kernel hacker. I searched this forum, but compiling modules and/or a kernel is too complicated for me. So: Is there any other way to get the rfbb.ko for my Debian Wheezy? Maybe someone uses Debian Wheezy too and can run the command to compile t...

Your RXTX library path looks like it's for armv5 - isn't the RasPi using ARMv6?

As far as I know you can only change the Logo by editing the Kernel.

It kinda reminds me of Webmin (http://webmin.com/).
The functions are quite similar.

Re: RF Bitbanger ported to Raspberry Pi

Try to get hold of the data sheet for the IC. It could be similar to PT2262 and SC2262. That could make the process easier! My Remote Control uses a SC5262S IC - the Datasheet ( http://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/116104/SILAN/SC5262S-RF.html ) looks like the one of the PT2262. So are my ...
