Re: RPi Tablet Power Consumption
i have the 5 inch touch version and while it works very good, the hdmi ends up sticking way out which annoys the hell out of me, maybe you can find a better solution, just something looking ahead

Re: Raspberry pi pager
my two cents on what you seem to be looking to do, i recently did an A+ mounted FONA Pi Hat which could receive text messages, http://hackaday.io/project/4462-raspberry-pi-fona-pihat, and add a 16x2 rgb screen with buttons, you could have a very basic pager. https://www.adafruit.com/product/1110

Re: Pi 2... Is it a bit fragile?
what are you using to tear your pi down? i have desoldered headers and all but hdmi and the bottom usb ports on every b+ ive had my hands on and recently did my Pi 2. I recommend keeping to a soldering iron and solder sucker, if cutting is necessary, https://www.adafruit.com/products/152 these were ...

Re: RPI2 and Old iMac G5 Powerpc
you could get real crazy and hollow out the old iMac, replace the screen with a generic Lcd that has an hdmi in (like what adafruit sell but I don't think they have any that big) then wire it all up inside the iMac case

Re: Use 1 Wifi adapter for SSH and 1 for hacking
yep, i had one set up headless for a while and did just that. One adapter would create an ad-hoc access point that i connected to using my iphone and an ssh client then the other would be in monitor mode for toying.

i've seen this article so many times and the write up is entirely text and lacks a lot of the fun tear down pictures, would love to see what battery and what keyboard is used.

love the look of these boards once they're trimmed down, I just trimmed down my b+ and am still trying to figure out where to move the usb, I might just rip my edimax apart and solder it directly to the board

be careful with your display, mine flopped about so much that it broke a trace on the touchscreen.

Re: B+ compatible case and touchscreen
the 2.8 pitft from adafruit is great but its very small and not all that useful from my experiments, i highly recommend the 5" hdmi touchscreen though, im in the middle of making a small pi tablet out of one right now! https://www.adafruit.com/products/2260

Re: RasPi-Wallet?
very interested to see a finished prototype of this, seems like a very cool idea especially as a tiny pirate box, only advise i have to give is to lookup which pins the pitft uses specifically and only run that many cables, pretty sure it only uses power and a couple more for i2c, good luck!

What I've Learned So Far
I've seen numerous people asking the same things, so maybe we can start a sticky of notes people are keeping or something. But here is my little list of notes that i've had to use time and time again when rebuilding sd cards on debian squeeze, figured it would help someone else. wlan0 script WIRELES...

Re: Setting up internal Pi-Fi Network
Thats why you'd have to be a little bit tricky with it and at least set it up as a cloaked network, so now one of your adapters need to be hostap compatible. Make a script to ping out every 2 minutes like the last guy said and it should work pretty well
