Re: PiBakery

Hey everyone, I found PiBakery and I just amazed by it. My issue is that I am trying to create custom blocks and I just can't seem to get it to work. I am running version 1.0 and Ver 2.0 on both Windows and Linux. I can create blocks but I cant them to appear in PiBakery. On the Windows side, when I...

OMXPlayer PlaySpeed above 4 doesn't work

I am trying to use the OMXPlayer at a play speed above 4 and cannot get it to work. By pressing the right arrow keys, you can increase the player's speed. It works fine until you get above 4 then the video shows the new speed setting (0.25, 8, 16, 32) but the player paused and plays at the normal sp...

Re: Transparent background

Thank you that did help. As per the link, I changed line 84 in oglinit.c to: static VC_DISPMANX_ALPHA_T alpha = { DISPMANX_FLAGS_ALPHA_FROM_SOURCE, 255, 0 }; I recompiled the library and in my program I set the background using: backgroundRGB(0,0,0,0) And I now have a fully transparent background! DBus - can someone explain DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS

I am trying to control OMXPlayer by DBus much in the way the dbuscontrol.sh script does. I have been able to successfully send dbus commands to OMXPlayer but only when I have the DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS environment variable set. The TBOPlayer.py python script seems to communicate with the OMXPlayer...

Re: Tutorial: Compile VLC with HW acceleration - Jessie, RPi

I confess that I am using the Pi for development so I am not sure how I ended up with ver. 57.

I've been considering building a new Pi with the default Jessie image. Still, this could be a setback for development but I guess it may be necessary.

I'll build one and get back to you.

I went back to the OP and followed the instructions. Re: Tutorial: Compile VLC with HW acceleration - Jessie, RPi

Has anyone successfully compiled VLC lately?

I've tried a few instruction sets but no luck. I can eventually get it to compile but it doesn't work as expected. (ie. no HW acceleration)

Re: Controlling OMXPlayer via dbus from c or c++

I guess I was asking of anyone has sent dbus commands to OMXPlayer from code. I don't think I need to rewrite OMXPlayer (that would take a while) since it has everything I need. I can call control.sh from my main code to control OMXPLayer and the setposition command does work. It is just a little sl...

Controlling OMXPlayer via dbus from c or c++

I am trying to control OMXPlayer from my c/c++ program in order to speed up communication with the player. The batch file isn't fast enough for what I need.

Has anyone used c or c++ to send dbus commands to OMXPlayer?
