Re: RPI3 UART Problem

I am trying also to use /dev/ttyAMA0 on a raspberry pi 3 for a modbus RTU application using a 232/485 convertor hat. The RPI3 is running Jessie with all the updates done yesterday [email protected]:~# uname -a Linux raspberrypi 4.4.38-v7+ #938 SMP Thu Dec 15 15:22:21 GMT 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux Since I...

Re: Telecine with an old super8 proiector and raspberry pi

Thank you for your suggestions. My projector has three blades in the shutter if I remember well . It is a russian projector from the '80. I think I will use it at 2..5 FPS. My ideea is to have a single optic system to project directly the image on the Raspi camera sensor. I am not sure if this is po...

Re: Telecine with an old super8 proiector and raspberry pi

I intent to use a LED that will have around 100 lm luminous flux , cool white ( 4500-10000K ) . You can see the datashii from the atached link . The projector already has a fan and a heat filter that falls automaticaly when the framerate is low but this filter is made from two glass sheets and a per...

I was thinking at a 3W led from avago. The idea is not to heat the film al a low fps setting.

Re: Telecine with an old super8 proiector and raspberry pi

This should be no problem , an optocoupler on the revolving shutter will solve this . The main problem that I am not able to evaluate now is the modification of optical system. The projector has a 18 mm focal objective with 1:1.4 apperture. how can I place the image on the sensor is the problem that...

Re: Telecine with an old super8 proiector and raspberry pi

It is not a problem to run the projector slower. Mine has an potentiometer powering the motor so I can adjust continuously. The Raspi camera does not have a mechanical shutter. so it is not a problem for wearing as it will be in case of a DSLR . The time for acquiring a frame ( it is possible to acq...

Re: Telecine with an old super8 proiector and raspberry pi

In my case the mechanics of the projector is doing the film moving. It is true that it is a bit stressing for the film but it will work for a few times. The projector has also a shutter. The image capture should be syncronized with this shutter.

Re: Telecine with an old super8 proiector and raspberry pi

Thank you . I haven't seen the topic you sent me. Is interesting but even I own a good DSLR I don't think that is a good solution due to the limited number of shutter operations. It will be killed for a few hours of movie digitising. That is the reason that I was thinking of using a Raspi camera. Fo...

Telecine with an old super8 proiector and raspberry pi

Hi everybody, I don't have a Raspi camera yet but I am reading about. My application will be a telecine for digitizing my old super 8 an 8mm movies. My idea is to replace on my old projector lamp with a led , to install a Raspi camera in front of the movie plane and synchronize the projector shutter...

Re: Wireless keyboard Issue back again after upgrading to 18

Exactly the same here. I will try the solution with a 2200 micro capacitor. Anyway my power supply has 1000mA and the cable has no more then 30 cm . I did not make measuremens of voltage before and after upgrading to 18.09 raspbian . Did you ? Might be the last version is using more power .

Wireless keyboard Issue back again after upgrading to 18.09

I made an upgrade on 18.09 version of raspbian . After reboot one surprise , I was not able to log in anymore. After some tests I have seen that my username and password were sent wrong by my wireless keyboard that I used flawless from 19.04 version. Before 19.04 version I had the same issues with r...

Re: XBian - Small, Fast, Lightweight XBMC solution

I changed timezone with dpkg-reconfigure. Vfd is vacuum fluorescent display. It is a display like the one on media players, video recorders , etc. imon has such a display on a 5,25 bay connected on USB made for htpc . Also it has a ir remote and interface. My question is if the kernel of xbian has d...

Re: XBian - Small, Fast, Lightweight XBMC solution

I am trying and it works perfectly. Smooth ui and playing ok. Since I am not very experienced with xbmc I have two questions: 1 is there a possibility to change the time zone from xbmc or should I go into Linux console? 2. What means activate the vfd display ? It can be connected to a imon vfd displ...

Re: Automatic setup for RTL8188CUS based wifi adapters

OK the driver appears to be out of date. Grab hold of the latest driver and manually install it. As there are two directories you could install it in both and it will use the one in the directory that is used. Or install it in one and see if it works. If it doesn't install it in the other directory...
