DS18B20 + Camera module; modprobe breaks camera

Using this tutorial http://learn.adafruit.com/adafruits-raspberry-pi-lesson-11-ds18b20-temperature-sensing/ds18b20 , I hooked up a DS182B0 sensor to my rpi and I can read from it successfully. I had raspistill running on a loop previously, and also collected the temperature from the rpi, then I ran ...

Re: Raspberry Pi slowdown with USB bluetooth

Apparently the USB drivers are terrible at the moment and were from a previous Broadcom project. By USB drivers, I mean that very low level USB stuff, not the ones for your bluetooth dongle. It fires more interrupts than needed, and also drops packets in certain situations. Its a known issue, and th...

Re: PS2 Eyetoy Keeps Crashing.

Looks similar to my issue here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... =66&t=8208

Bit annoying as it - apparently - works fine with Arch. It was the first camera to be on the wiki page for supported webcams.

Guess I'll buy another cam and see what happens.

Re: Webcam - EyeToy

A little more information, if I press left on my keyboard, it'll repeat the characters every once in a while, which seems to match up with when the webcam fails. TP1-TP2 is confirmed at a solid 4.9v throughout (just measured with a calibrated multimeter). Attached is a screenshot, and a video of the...

Webcam - EyeToy

I've taken a shining to Raspbian, but I have an issue which occurs with the original Debian image, the new Wheezy image, and every edition of Raspbian I can find. When using a Namtai PS2 EyeToy (50ma current), the newest firmware drivers from Hexxeh pick up the camera immediately, and I see an entry...

Re: How to get a webcam working?

The USB driver in the kernel has packet loss issues; im seeing the same issues as you but with an EyeToy. Not sure if these issues are related but makes sense in my head. It will stream, but eventually motion closes the webcam, and then reopens the webcam over and over again. I found the problem wor...

Re: Automatic setup for RTL8188CUS based wifi adapters

I've just started seeing this as well. Looks like there is a problem with rpi-update. And it screws up Debian so the wifi drive cannot load and so the wifi dies. I've updated the script so rpi-update is not run. The third line of the script is now "UPDATER=0". The value of UPDATER enables or diable...

Re: Working webcams

Quick question, I have a RPi running Debian. I've run rpi-update to get the latest firmware, and also apt-get update -> apt-get upgrade. I've also expanded the image to the full size of my 8GB SD card. All of that is provide context; I've got an EyeToy too, but there are no drivers for it so nothing...
