There are stacks of really cheap MP4 players on ebay, perfect for tinkering with your Pi as they have a small screen and a battery.........I will post as soon as I've started tinkering with mine which I got a few days ago.

Wow Mike this is brilliant and has everything I need to get started with various GPIO projects I have in mind. I'm surprised no-one else has picked up on your post, I think Mike's webpage is well worth a look for anyone interested in adding various electronics etc to their Pi.
