Re: Advice for a shower-proof time lapse wearable for Scouti

I like it! Get the young people to build it or use the images from the hike and you have the makings of part of the digital badges right there! Pi - any would do. A+ has a lower power usage so would result in longer battery life, but if you have a large capacity battery then 8hrs on an original B is...

Re: Xbox Live Vision Not Working

I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd mention that I have an XBOX Live camera working with my RaspberryPi B v1 (B.1.1). I have used both Motion and mjpg-streamer. One thing I did note is that the cameras is a little hungry on the mA side (my Pi has the original USB polyfuses). Often it woul...

MagPi Website has died? (solved)

Morning,

Just gone to http://www.themagpi.com to find a blank page. Other links (/shop etc) come up with 404s and adverts. What's happened? It looks like the domain has expired?!?!?!

Cheers

Re: Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

It would be interesting to hear if their estimated shipping dates for orders placed much earlier are still roughly on target though. Well, my order number is just shy of 61000 so should drop by 8th July (Sunday).... I've yet to receive a shipping email or missed delivery card (today's post not incl...

Re: Invitation to order from RS

How long should I have to wait for the coveted invitation. It's been months! Personally, I registered my interest with RS on 1st March (once all the initial hubbub had passed). Received an invite on 28th May (3 months after give or take). Still have a 6 week wait for the "expected" delivery ...

Re: Invitation to order from RS

I've emailed their support email address, only got the initial "Have you read the FAQ" response thus far. Just out of curiosity, the first 6 digits are "464d2c", does that match yours are well? Same thing for me. I have same end, but different initial digits. Ah, at least the codes are different th...

Re: Invitation to order from RS

Same here, also same last digits sent by rsonline@eu.rs-email.com. Maybe the key was not that unique so the original users' data was filled automatically. However I fear collisions in the order process especially when it comes to payments. I will reply to the invitiation and see what RS tells me. I...
