Recording audio from another computer

I'm not sure what the best terms are to describe this, but please bear with me and I'll try to give an idea of what I'm after. Say I have two computers: Computer A (possibly not a Raspberry Pi, it doesn't matter). It produces audio that I can play over a USB Speaker I attach to it. I cannot install ...

Installing Mozilla TTS on a Raspberry Pi 4

Hello! For people interested in producing high quality speech on a Raspberry Pi I wanted to mention an article I put together detailing how you can run Mozilla's TTS on an RPi 4. The article is on Medium here: https://medium.com/@nmstoker/installing-mozilla-tts-on-a-raspberry-pi-4-e6af16459ab9 There...

Re: Problem for headless use: Buster Lite starts with Wi-Fi blocked by rfkill

Oops! Thanks trejan. Re-reading I now realise that I had skipped the part about where the file should be put, since I knew where it was from previously doing this countless times this way in the past. My mistake! Sounds like this should work for me now.

Problem for headless use: Buster Lite starts with Wi-Fi blocked by rfkill

I've recently received two new RPi 4s (4Gb) and went to set them up headless, doing one on day and the next several days later following the same basic pattern. As they are meant to be truly headless (ie I don't plug them into a monitor and ideally would've preferred not to have to go plug in a netw...

Re: Building Python3.6.2 with optimizations

It's a little while after the earlier posts, but in case it's useful to anyone trying something similar, I managed to successfully compile Python 3.6 (specifically 3.6.4) My set up is a RPi 3 running Rasbian Jessie Lite I did the following steps, based on the URL given but for 3.6.4 with the optimis...

Re: QTonPi General Information

Yes, good point. I found the Debian release intuitive, based on my Ubuntu / general computing background. But trying QTonPi was a bit of a mystery - there are some involved instructions on the Nokia site, but they're sadly lacking in context (very prescriptive, but no indiciation of what the relativ...
