The simple answer is: Don't connect it to the internet. NOOBS by design will always pick the latest version it can access. You just need to connect your Pi to your laptop directly with an ethernet cable and avoid your internet connected LAN. Give you Laptop a static IP address and run a DHCP server...

Hi all, I have downloaded NOOBS with raspbian jessie (2016-03-18) in it. I extracted the image on the card. I connected the board to LAN and added "vncinstall" in recovery.cmdline. As I don't have HDMI display, I use vnc to control NOOBS. Now, the issue is, if the board is connected to internet, NOO...

Sorry for opening it after long... Actually I am doing something like this... I have Raspbian(part 6) and OpenELEC(part 8) installed via NOOBS... I want system to always boot to Raspbian Quickly and it is done via adding boot_partition=6 to autoboot.txt. I want to go to OpenElec only from Raspbian. ...

so the only way to boot in another system is by creating a file?! Ok I don't need to plugin a keyboard for that, but still it's an inconvenient way to do so.
