Re: How to use more cameras?

if you have ea pizero for each camera as well as a Pi3 to connect them to by usb you can try the OTG Networking Docker Swarm that Alex Ellis wrote up. https://blog.alexellis.io/pizero-otg-swarm/

Call me lazy ?

I only want the AIYPi to be listening when I press the button so I'm not bothering with Step 17 of the MagPi 57 instructions. The downside is that I need to press the button every time I want it to do something and I'm too lazy to do this especially as the AIYPi is more than an arm's length away. So...

Re: Can this play me at Chess ?

Thanks Mike,
I'll certainly give it a go.
I don't intend playing blind. I will be using an actual real physical chess set where i will move both the black and white pieces.
I can also imagine it being used as a chess tutor for players of differing abilities.

Can this play me at Chess ?

With that button on top and the cube shape it sort of reminded me of a Chess clock. Where do I start to learn how to configure this as a Chess opponent where the moves are spoken (by human and RPi3) ? The pieces would be moved manually rather than being detected by the board. Are there Chess program...

Re: Cirrus Logic Audio Card

AFAIK this and the Wolfson variant were the only audio cards integrated microphones (they may still be for all I know). I've bought a few over the years and once I've got them working they have been rock solid. They were the future once. Now how do I get one working with a PiZeroW to act as a remote...

kinect-audio-setup may well be the place to have a look first.
I'm thinking of trying to use it with Mycroft or similar open source AI system

Re: PS3 controller wireless help

You could have a look here https://pythonhosted.org/triangula/sixaxis.html
Also check that your PS3 is fully charged.

Also the latest Retropie version seems to have simplified setting up a PS3. Follow the guide on the RetroPie website.

BNO055 working but now what ?

I currently control my robot (Piborg Zeroborg) using a PS3 controller. I connect to my RPi robot using RealVNC which can also stream the RPi camera. The RPi robot has a BNO055 NDOF sensor and I want to create a window/GUI that shows a location crumb trail and orientation (my robot is a meccanum/omni...

Tom I suggest you start your search here.

Also Abe Kazuhiro may be worth googling to see if he's done anything with Wedo 2.0
I've got the original Wedo which I've connected to using RPi, Vengit S-Brick and wiimote to control 4 motors.

RPi model A++(3) ?

Things seem to have gone a little quiet on the new model A front. Any news ? I'm revisiting an internet radio project which has been continuously running on a model A since March 2013. It uses a USB wifi dongle and audio out to a pair of powered PC speakers. It only plays one radio station and runs ...

That is a great breakthrough. I can now forget about doing any DIY this bank holiday weekend. It will be interesting to know what real-life latency people experience when compared to other streaming methods. Until now I've been happily using Dave Jones Pistreaming but that doesn't run in a moveable/...

I got it working on my RPi3 Jessie but couldn't quite get it working with my Plugable USB Audio Adapter (yet). Other than that its the best voice recognition project I've seen so far. If you are having issues installing it I recommend keeping an eye on the GitHub page and the issues raised there as ...

Zizzle Zoundz, Open CV, Sonic Pi Live Coding?

I have a couple of Zizzle Zoundz toys from way back in the mid-2000s which are now getting a little long in the tooth. I want to see if I can re-create something better or similar with the RPi. Ideally I would like to use it to control Sonic Pi for Live Coding. The Zoundz has six playing pieces, eac...

Happy birthday RPi. Wow, what a weekend for those grinding the rumour mill. Surely we've all prematurely burrowed into a well wrapped present and then quickly tried to re-wrap it in the hope that no-one will notice we've been peaking ? That's how I felt on Saturday when I hastily downloaded the Soni...

@ghp Your code worked but for whatever reason (?) I needed to change the value to 1 from 0. That way the LED came on when the circuit was closed by the switch. Re: Scratch GPIO button ?

Thanks ghp, I'll let you know how I get on. @Forris, I am using a LEGO Touch Sensor and Leads Set 9911 as a simple switch. There is no resistor required as it's simply a touch sensitive switch. I am using two of them as part of a Lego Morse code keyer, one for the Dits and one for the Dahs. It is co...

I've also successfully used my Zoom H1 as an external microphone for them. Unfortunately sound recording sucks on t...
