Re: A little help or insparation

Feel the anger... Computers are a tool, and people use the tool to meet all sorts of needs. Solving hard math or playing hard games, its the users choice on how they want to use thier personal computer. Just because they have a different need to you, does not make them the enemy. Re: At the Prompt, Now What?

GPIO I guess is the general purpose input output port. You know I would love to actually let the r-pi 'do' something, along the lines that I enjoyed making the Arduino do stuff. At the Prompt, Now What?

Hi I have the Rasperry Prompt on screen, asking me to do something on the command line interface. I loaded debian6-19-04-2012 as per instructions on the Raspberry PI Site. I guess I have to learn Linux in order to get the command line to start something. Must admit, if that is so, I couldn't be more...

Re: Second impressions

Hey, Im on the same wavelength. I have the Rasperry PI, hooked up and running as far as the command prompt. I feel if this is only going to work on Linux or Python, then its actually a painful way of forcing a new user to learn a little used language favoured by a few techies. I don't doubt there ar...
