Re: 230V>5V power module

In the interests of your safety - you really don't want to be mixing mains voltages inside the same enclosure as a Pi Hi Matt, I don't mean to be flippant but could you explain why ? I respect mains electricty and fully understand the dangers when mishandled but I cannot understand why a PSU board ...

Re: 230V>5V power module

The RS psu says £20.78 not £400. no, but this one is !! - https://www.tu-eshop.com/230VAC-to-5V-1A-DC-Switched-Mode-Power-Supply-Module - Actually, I'm not sure what currency that is, I had presumed Euros but my browser doesn't display whatever it is properly. (sorry, didn't express myself very wel...

230V>5V power module

Hello All, I've looked into this before but never found with (I think?) I am looking for.... I would like to use a mains voltage converter, 230V UK, to 5V (or 5.2V) to use inside an enclosure to power a Pi Zero W, ultimately to use for a remote access central haeting controller project, a bi like th...

Potentiometer info please

Hi folks, A bit off-topic as the hardware is not a Pi (yet). I'm building a lighting system that can be dimmed and currently want to set it up with potentiometer. The spec for the electronic ballast control suggest a potentiometer with the value (in Ohms I guess) according to the following formula -...

Re: Pairing my Bluetooth Keyboard/touchpad

Hi Andre,

I'm still having no luck with my bluetooth keyboard, although I'm now trying to use it with RaspBMC, which is Debian based.

see here for my lack of progress and stuck requiring LSB tags etc again, even though I have them (I think??)

cheers

Re: Pairing my Bluetooth Keyboard/touchpad

Many thanks Andre, exactly what I was looking for :) I haven't got round to trying it yet, been 'playing' with Openelec and RaspBMC for the last couple of days. Doesn't time fly when you're having: fun / issues / experimenting / banging your head against a brick wall / re-imaging your SD card..........

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

@neilpercy You can also edit it from a windows machine by manually typing in explorer RPi's ip \\x.x.x.x. It is in the Userdata folder. The guisettings.xml file is not readonly. If anything goes wrong just delete it and will be recreated with the default settings. nice one funnel, that worked a tre...

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

You could try editing .xbmc/userdata/guisettings.xml Find this line and edit it to WINDOW <screenmode>WINDOW</screenmode> and a little lower try changing the resolution until it fits <window> <height>480</height> <width>720</width> </window> This worked when I played with it over HDMI. If you don't...

Re: Pairing my Bluetooth Keyboard/touchpad

Hi, I got it to work. Here's what I had to do (I basically followed the instruction from http://wiki.debian.org/BluetoothUser ): apt-get install bluetooth bluez-utils blueman startx After installation went through and you get into the GUI, it's quite easy to pair the Rii with the Pi. After rebootin...

Re: SD Card boot partition corruption issues (NOT Power-rela

0x00null: On an unrelated note - I had no idea how awesomely easy it was to set up the RasPi/Arch to talk to Xming on my desktop! I love this little computer Could you possibly expand upon this or give a complete Linux and Xming newbie a possible heads up on how to set up and configure this using t...
