Mine did alright today; I guestimate ~3-4 1/2 hours with heavy use.

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

Got wifi working! I'm using a netgear wg111v2 adapter and used the guide linked below as a reference: http://elinux.org/RPi_Peripherals#Wireless:_TP-Link_TL-WN722N_USB_wireless_adapter_.28Debian_6.29 Add adapter definition to network config - eg: sudo vi /etc/network/interfaces # Used by ifup(8) and...

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

We'll see, Joe.... Not all Lapdocks are created equal, you know. Atrix is the latest model. Meybe I'll be lucky! ;) [Edit: You win, mate : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge5UWtV4u7A ... darn it! ] Lol.. the Lapdock 500 supports 2 finger scrolling etc... maybe we'll get lucky and they'll have a fire...

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

Afik, the trackpad does not support multitouch on the Lapdock 100, this is a hardware design.
As far as sound goes, Debian Squeeze has an audio file you can test. It is located in one of the menus, I don't have my Pi in front of me so I can't tell you for sure where it is located.

No, unfortunately not. This is controlled using the software intended for this device, which is Motorola's Webtop. You can control sound from the lxde desktop, not sure about brightness but I'm sure there's a way.

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

Can someone who has one of these lapdocs please take a picture of the keyboard (so I can see the yas and their layout) and any i/o ports? Even though I ordered one I cannot see the full technical specs and I was unable to download a manual from Motorola (possibly due to the sluggish network I'm on ...

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

Its running 1366x768 and is very crisp. There aren't any speakers on the lap dock which is a shame so no sound. However there is a pretty big Lithium battery in it which will run the PI for Hours so that's cool. Good job! I've been working on the same thing this weekend and almost the same setup as...

Re: The Raspberry Pi Netbook (well sort of)

Hi manishfrank619, Sorry, I must have inadvertently deleted it. Here you go. http://rpidock.blogspot.com/2012/05/raspberry-pi-and-motorola-lapdock.html Everything seems to work without needing to modify the hardware on the Lapdock. I'm a total noob at this kind of thing, so any updates etc are very ...

Re: The Raspberry Pi Netbook (well sort of)

Hi, sorry to dig up an old post but thought this might be useful to someone, maybe. I successfully got the Pi working with the Lapdock today, and it was quite easy. Hope this is of some use to someone, I have the parts I used listed in my blogger post. http://rpidock.blogspot.com/2012/05/ive-seen-bi...
