Re: How to stream live football on Pi using XBMC?

is the pi on a lan with a pc? if it is you could use sopcast. 1. open sopcast stream on pc 2. create .m3u file on the pi that contains the address of the stream stream address would likely be http://<yourpcsipaddress>:8902/tv.ts you would also want a mpeg2 and vc1 licence to be able to play all stre...

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Can someone please confirm that h264 streams no longer play?

I stream on my LAN and older builds can play them no problem. In the new builds all that plays is the audio and a grey screen.

Re: You wanted MPEG-2? You've got it!

Hi, I have purchased both licenses and have confirmed they work using the 2 test files. I cannot however get them working for the purpose I intended. I'm trying to watch sopcast streams encoded in WMV but exactly the same thing happens when trying to watch them as before the licences were added. I g...

Re: Re-encode video on the fly from Sopcast

I find the best links come from searching for `man ffmpeg`, a great reference is http://linux.die.net/man/1/ffmpeg. Let's get video working first - disable audio by passing `-an`. Once that is working, try using MP3 with a 192k bitrate. thanks, the VC-1 stream has now ended and I don't think there ...

Re: Re-encode video on the fly from Sopcast

First try ffmpeg -i HTTP://127.0.0.1:8902 -vcodec copy -fmp4 out.mp4 Kill it after 30 seconds... The main thing we want to see here is that it tries to generate output without giving up. Hi Thanks for this. It kept generating output until I killed it. Only thing is I can't find a VC-1 stream tonigh...

I have been trying to achieve it using VLC and getting no joy.

Re-encode video on the fly from Sopcast

Some Sopcast streams are in VC-1 format. Is there way to convert the stream on the fly to H264 and stream it over the LAN to my pi?

If this is possible I would be looking to find out what software would be required?

Thanks
