Its odd that writes are made (i can initiate through the www-data user, and they are stored until reboot)

The pi user can modify files it does not own, again, until reboot.

Thanks guys! I just removed pulseaudio, I wasn't using it anyway...I hope it helps. Ill keep an eye on my syslog.

Have any idea on how I can tell who is calling bluez4? Yes, I see bluetoothd, but I'm personally not calling that.

I tried using l2ping...it thinks the host is down, but hcitool lecc lets me connect?

They are plugged into a powered USB hub. The issue is intermittent.
