Re: headless Pi3... best way to control?

Thanks for your reply. Battery issues are not a problem in our situation. In order to access the command line on Pi, I would need to ssh into the Pi, but in order to do that, the Pi needs to be on the same network as my other device. unless there is a way to use ssh over bluetooth, or something else...

headless Pi3... best way to control?

Hello! I'm helping someone with a project that is: headless Pi(vers3)+picamera+motion sensor=tweets an image when triggered. All of that is working great. The dilemma is how to make this mobile. I need a way to connect this to public wifi APs. I've tried adding a second wifi (USB) and setting up hos...

Re: just want to use picamera

Thank you both! I was so surprised that something so simple simple was not obvious to me. And it was pretty frustrating that there was no man for raspivid.

just want to use picamera

Hi all helping someone with a project where they simply need to use the Pi camera video in a live setting, not recording, not streaming to other devices, just need a fullscreen view of what the camera sees. and nothing more. if I use "camera.start_preview()" all by itself, i get nothing. B...

Re: Processing+Pi3+Camera = ?

I've been trying to do something similar. I was able to get rid of these errors by installing gstreamer 0.10 and gstreamer 1.0. I think I used the recommended commands on this page: https://github.com/processing/processing/wiki/Raspberry-Pi After doing this, I was able to get a usb webcam to work (...

Re: pi 3 thermal printer cups

thank you MaxK1 for your research!

eessh my chances of modding any initialization process on any device is none! I'm an art school luddite. Now I'm trying an Arduino and see if I can make it work with that.

thank you!

Re: Processing+Pi3+Camera = ?

Than you ghans

ran the command, that went well. Now Processing complains "No such Gstreamer factory: v4l2src" and the sketch hangs when trying to capture the camera.

Re: pi 3 thermal printer cups

Still prints garbage after attaching TX. Actually, sent a low-res bitmap and it printed the first 10% and then garbage. So it's all about flow control. How to regulate it?

Re: Processing+Pi3+Camera = ?

Hi Maikoule

Thanks for the reply. Camera is enabled. I really need to work in Processing, so using Python won't help. :-/

pi 3 thermal printer cups

I have a problem where a thermal printer that is sort of working for small bits of text. Installed a great driver found here: http://scruss.com/blog/2015/07/12/thermal-printer-driver-for-cups-linux-and-raspberry-pi-zj-58/ and got it working in CUPS, it broadcasts to the other devices on the network,...

Processing+Pi3+Camera = ?

Anyone using Processing w/ Pi camera successfully? I have tried 3 different Jessie installations and gotten nowhere. I even installed the experimental Jessie image for Pi 3 linked to in this post: https://github.com/processing/processing/wiki/Raspberry-Pi And the Video library will not even install....
