6 days and not a single answer. Must mean no one on this board knows about Japanese language file names.

I solved the problem myself. Change the fonts to arial.

Probably you are expecting install to be some magic command that knows what you want to install? It isn't. It is simply the name of a file in a directory (which you might know as a 'folder' from some other OS.) The cd command defines which directory [ ie. folder] to look in to find that file. In ot...

I have sd cards, one with OSMC and the other with Raspbian. On either, files named in Japanese don't show correctly instead they show blocks where the fonts are supposed to be.
