HPL - application.
Hi, I am trying to benchmark raspberry pi 3 with HPL, every time i run the test the cpu shoots to 1.2GHz and right away the system crashes, i have tried with natural convection, fan, and heat sink with fan. the problem size i am giving is 6000. What factors make the system to crash apart from the hi...

raspberry pi 3 power consumption.
Hi all,
I am working on a project, which makes me to calculate the power consumption of a raspberry pi 3, i figured it out to be 5v x 0.75A = 3.5w under high load.
Is there a way we can measure or calculate the power consumed by the processor alone. at any given load.
Pls do reply,
Thanks.

Re: Pi 3 Overheating Issue?
We came across the overheating issue in our internal engineering review of this product. 207F (97C) with CPU load only in 71F (22C) ambient. We attempted to measure CPU+GPU load but the board crashed on numerous attempts. We saw temperatures go up to 210+F. img_thermal_1457442329126.jpg After heats...

Stressing raspberry pi 3
Hi all, I am trying to stress raspberry pi 3 to operate at 1200mhz and record relative temperature, i am seeing the results of other users they are getting the pi heated to 100°c on the surface read by thermometer, but when i perform the same test i am getting the temperature read by command as 81°,...

Re: Parallel programming and Benchmarking
Do you mean this HPL Benchmark http://www.netlib.org/benchmark/hpl/ ? All instructions are on that site. Yes, HPL Bench-marking. but i need to build cluster using MPI (message passing interface) so that i can execute HPL on all cores of four raspberry pi. i first need help with the procedure of mak...

Parallel programming and Benchmarking
Hi all. I am trying to construct a parallel computing cluster out of four raspberry pi 3 boards and run a HPL bench marking program. so that i can test the highest no of Gflops a cluster of 4 raspberry pi can achieve. i am looking for some procedure. any kind of help is mostly appreciated. thank you.

Re: PI 3 and Raspbian Wheezy
Anyone found a way to install the WiFi chipset on Wheezy? After I update the Wheezy, I still cannot have luck to connect to the Internet with using the onboard Wifi. I only can use the WiPi.. Forget it. What stops you from going to Jessie? sir, i am doing parallel computing using four raspberry pi....

Mounting drives [rpcbind]
hi,
i am building a cluster of pi's,
i am using "sudo service rpcbind start" and "sudo update-rc.d rpcbind enable" , to set mount drives and auto update on reboot. but this commands are not working.
the tutorial i am following is for prior version of rpi-2 i believe.
