Need a Mono upgrade

Just wondering who maintains packages for Raspbian. I use Mono and it looks like I need an upgrade. Background: I'm getting the following unhandled (and seemingly uncatchable) exception randomly from the bowels of Mono: System.ObjectDisposedException: The object was used after being disposed. at Sys...

Re: raspbian-ua-netinst - Raspbian unattended netinstaller

Hey Nice work with this installer. I'm looking to go one step further and get the SD card read-only after I'm done commissioning an install, so as to increase SD card lifetime, make it more power-failure tolerant etc. Ideal situation is that I'd have a one-line command to make things temporarily wri...

Struggling to boot early original RPi

Hi I'm struggling to boot an original Pi from the current Raspbian image. I am just getting a static red power LED on. It is really quite an early Pi and I'm sure I remember something about these Pis needing to be given an earlier Raspbian image and upgraded - something to do with firmware? Could be...

Re: Send Message From C# Program To Python Process

I'd skip the C# stuff on the Raspberry Pi (it's cumbersome getting Mono running on Linux). On Raspbian, for everything: apt-get install mono-complete For a minimal runtime: apt-get install mono-run then when it complains something is missing: apt-cache search System.Drawing gets you the package nam...

WCF ArgumentNullException on raspbian mono

Hi all Trying to expose a WCF service on Raspbian. This worked fine on the soft float build of Mono but I think I am suffering from this bug: http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=71444 Can't be sure it's this bug though because the bug tracker is down. A patch has been posted: http://marc.info...

Encapsulate raspivid output in MPEG transport stream

Has anyone had any luck encapsulating the output of raspivid in an MPEG transport stream? I'm about to crack open the man page for gstreamer but I thought it might be nice if anyone had already worked it out. Ideally I'm after a simple command I can just pipe the output through. raspivid -t -1 -w 12...

Re: raspivid over network stops sending video

Sadly this died again today.

mplayer hung with green screen, command line:
V: 0.0 842427/842427 84% 36% 0.0% 0 0 48%

Network light still flashing on Pi, camera light on, raspivid still running.

raspivid over network stops sending video

Hi Appreciate it's early days but I am finding that the following pair of command stops transmitting video after a few minutes: On Pi: raspivid -t 999999 -hf -o - | nc macmini 5001 On PC: nc -L -p 5001 | mplayer.exe -fps 31 -cache 1024 - Latest raspbian, quiet gigabit LAN between the PC and the Pi. ...

Re: C# programs maybe?

Also meant to say, Mono 2.6 on Pi runs .NET 2.0 to 3.5 executables but not .NET 4.0. That comes with Mono 2.8.

You can easily get Visual Studio 2010 to output CLR 2.0-format executables by setting the target framework appropriately.
