Re: Chromium 51 Freezing

Are you keeping track of the RPi's temp? Do you see a thermometer icon in the upper right corner? What is the output of vcgencmd measure_temp ? By design, the RPi starts to throttle cpu speed at around 85C+/-. I found that browser windows (Chrome or Firefox) with a lot of Javascript really increase...

Chromium 51 Freezing

We use Raspberry Pi to power digital signage. We display the signage by loading an HTML page in Chromium in kiosk mode. The page uses AJAX to loop through several screens (we use AJAX instead of a hard refresh because the transitions between pages are faster/more seamless although we do hard refresh...

SD Card Cloning Fails with Different Brand Card

We've created a stack based on PIXEL for our business' kiosk product that uses the Raspberry Pi. To create the stack, we start by installing PIXEL on an SD card. Next, we boot up the card in a Pi and add other software like PHP, Apache, and some of our configurations. We then create a DMG from the S...

Provisioning Multiple SD Cards

I need to provision several SD cards with an identical stack. rm chromium*.deb
And repeat the instructions.
That fixed the problem! Successful install! Thanks for your quick reply and all the contributions to this thread.

Pi Blanks After 10 Hours in Kiosk Mode

I'm running into a weird issue where my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B is blanking after running kiosk mode for about 9-10 hours. First, I'm somewhat new to Raspberry Pi, so I'm not sure I'm using the term 'blank' correctly. What is happening is that I'm displaying web page in kiosk mode on Epiphany and aft...

Re: Guide: Chromium 48 on Raspbian Jessie

I'm having an issue installing per the instructions in the first post of this thread. I'm installing on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with a fresh install of Raspbian Jessie from https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/. When I run the commands from the first post in this thread, I end up with an ...
