Undocumented image_fx parameters

Playing around with the image_fx component I found that some of the filters accept parameters (beyond the known/documented ones ). It would be awesome if we could get some confirmation/official usage documentation. OMX_ImageFilterColourBalance Number of Params: 4 Value Range: 0-255 Description: firs...

Re: ISP output 1 ? (vc.ril.isp:out:1)

It is in the docs - https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/blob/master/documentation/ilcomponents/isp.html (I'll make another request to get that lot hosted on raspberrypi.org. http://www.jvcref.com/files/PI/documentation/ilcomponents/ is a hosted version but quite out of date). updates! yes - arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc is 4.8.3 which is the issue.

Re: Cross compiling for Jessie

@diederik

I am cross compiling though so unless I am misunderstanding something the compiler needs to be set to arm-linux-gnueabihf-g++ (which is 4.8.3 based)

Cross compiling for Jessie

Has anyone been able to successfully setup a cross compiler for Jessie? The compiler in the raspberrypi/tools repo appears to be 4.8.3 and Jessie's compiler is 4.9.2 This becomes an issue when trying to link against any libraries that are compiled against 4.9.2 (e.g. libfreeimage). I get messages li...

I just realized that I had commented that line to get valgrind to work. Thanks for the update though!

Is this replacement used in Raspbian? When I look at my /etc/ld.so.preload the libcofi_rpi.so line is commented out

jamesh did you ever get an definite answer on this? In messing with an OpenMax implementation and I am able to successfully use OMX_SetConfig to not "not disabled" OMX_ERRORTYPE error = OMX_ErrorNone; OMX_PARAM_CAMERADISABLEALGORITHMTYPE controlType; OMX_INIT_STRUCTURE(controlType); controlType.eAlg...

Hey - thanks for the details as I am running into this as well (but not using ilclient) . I haven't tried your solution yet but appreciate the post nonetheless!

write_media from camera

I am looking for a way to write video files from the Raspberry Pi camera. I know that raspivid does this with MMAL but I am using the OpenMax based egl_render in my application.

I am getting mixed results from this forum on whether this component even works. Anyone tried to use this?

Re: Experiment with Camera Module : MMAL, OpenCV, Overlay

With OMX video (as seen in the hello_videocube demo) there is a way to pass an texture (OMX_UseEGLImage) for the render module to output to.

I am wondering if MMAL has an implementation of this or if everything has to be re-written using OMX. I think it would bypass the memcpy that you are doing.

Re: BCM2835 datasheet

I saw some of your other posts saying that but digging in I don't see any references to OpenMax

It looks like it is a standalone framework that talks directly to the VideoCore interfaces

edit: forgot to mention that I am currently digging through the userland/mmal files

Re: BCM2835 datasheet

hey jamesh,

Now that the camera is released I am looking at getting a texture from it like you can with video/OpenMax

Looking at the RaspiVid source it looks like it is using MMAL as opposed to OpenMax. Does MMAL provide something like OpenMax's egl_render component?

Re: OpenMax rendering onto OpenGL texture

It's interesting that I see the shader manipulation but the onFillBufferDonecallback still never fires for me. Do you see the onFillBufferDone firing on your PI?

that is what I was looking for but I guess it may not be important?

Re: OpenMax rendering onto OpenGL texture

worked for me - thanks!

line 14 of the makefile threw an error but is fixed by using a tab vs 2 spaces (I just pasted the bottom half from Makefile.include

now to figure out what I was doing wrong

don't you need a video_scheduler inbetween the decoder and the renderer?
